What do you do when it's stolen ?

Old web sleuth here I dealt with this in another form years back but I didn't know if the same rules applied. In the other case it was all overseas and hard to tackle. This one is in the USA and it makes it so much easier to trace, within in 10 minutes I know more than I need to pursue I guess the question I have to answer is it worth the trouble. Mz Skeeter: Do you do this for every item or when they infringe on more than one ?

What do you do when it's stolen ?

So far I have found it on Etsy & their personal website, I haven't checked other venues yet.

What do you do when it's stolen ?

I here what you are saying and I usually do and will most likely in this case. However I don't want things in my house stolen either but if they toss a rock through a window and walk off with my laptop it's really no different then downloading an image of my works and re posting it as their own is it ?

laserpoint 2 cutting issues- please advise

I only use SCALP and I never have issues with it doing this. I would say the trouble is with your cutter.

    OK Guru's Vinyl Question

I am wondering if you can tell me the typical weight ( lb ) of the backing paper that comes on the vinyl rolls ? 20lb, 30lb, 50lb, 80lb ???? Thanks

laserpoint 2 cutting issues- please advise

Try unwinding the roll a foot or so past what you need for your project then wind it back up loose & straight and see if that corrects the issue. My guess is the vinyl is tracking uneven causing your "lift". My SC has a roller that runs the length of the unit so I don't see this issue. However I do sometimes get the tracking issues on a new roll of vinyl.

It sounds like you need to set the origin for your plotter head.

Best places to sell your items ?

I've had a little luck on this site besides the fore mentioned: http://www.bonanza.com each one requires a different approach i.e. what I find sells on one doesn't sell well on the other so you have to tailor your offerings. etsy: home decor ebay: window decals bonanza: anything odd / unique Artfire: home decor & window decals Amazon: no experience ioffer: nothing sells very well people want an extreme bargain

    Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from a newbie !!
  13. Usually equipment is depreciated over a period of time, 3 - 10 years depending upon it's expected life span. The state you live in can factor into that also. Consumables are taken off that year. I always try to make all my big purchases before Jan 1st, I don't like giving congress any extra money to spend if I can help it.

    OK Guru's Vinyl Question

True... it was strange you knew that. But I am glad you did. I picked up a roll of carbon fiber and the paper backing is about as thin as wax paper. My plan is to use butcher paper so I can cut it with out shredding it. I just wanted to make sure I get the right #.

    TC series cutters

Thanks for pointing that out, makes me glad I picked up the SC instead of the TC. I often used end runs of vinyl in my SC because I can move the pressure rollers around.

Owls.... hmmm I made this one a while back from a clipart pack I purchased. It was supposed to be a Yoda Owl... My wife said it looked like something else. So I never sold it. Yoda Owl.svg

Mz SKEETER is correct, you will do better if you make your own stuff.... However once it starts to sell it will become everyone else's....

    Mayday Mayday

Make sure the head is on it's tracks completely. When I got mine one wheels was off track and I didn't notice it for a week. It bugged the crap out of me, I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't cut right...

    Contour Cutting

Can someone tell me what USCutter brand machine is the best for contour cutting ? I am interested in one that will auto find the registration marks. I currently have an SC which I like but it only has a manual feature for contour cutting and it's only as accurate as I am at the time I load the material. Oh if I forgot to mention it i'm cheap so the lowest cost best item would be my choice. Thanks !
