New Tech Support Portal

They emailed back quickly with a file, updated to a version about 2 of 3 weeks old. I've already noticed some bug fixes and a new splash screen when first launching the software. Do we have to email periodically to receive updates or is there a website dedicated to seeing releases?

I sent them an email. I'll post when I hear back. Odd these aren't being automatically updated.

Manipulate > Smooth Corners

<blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="wickedstangs" data-cid="415834" data-time="1459438192">
Who or What HotShot?

Isn't a feature of the version of signblazer you are using. Hot shot was a pro version of signblazer, that is not available now.

RESET?

<blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="Macon Innovations" data-cid="415868" data-time="1459473456">

I tried the reset and that did not fix my problem so i guess i still need help......When i try and cut vinyl now for some reason it cuts in the opposite direction that it shows on the screen......If i lay it out horizontal it cuts

vertical and vice versa.......I though i some how messed up a setting but now i reset it to defaults and it is still doing it......Any help would be great.....

When you're in the "vinyl spooler" , look up in the settings tab on the main menu, FILE - EDIT - CUTTER - SETTINGS.... So forth... Click onto "settings", scroll down and click "Change Rotation" , (very bottom). You'll receive NO confirmation, or see any indication this has been switched, but now your cutter will cut the way it is shown in the "preview" . This is NOT the same as "rotate" when you check the little box in the cutter preview screen. Note to VM, may be a toggle should be added there to show users this has been turned on or off.
5. Ya, check that language... causes all kinds of issues. Off topic sort of, but yes, XP is widely known as the most stable and we'll loved modern OS. As a matter of fact, even tho it is not supported by MS any longer, my metal fab shop is upgrading some plasma tables and hypertherm (industry leader in plasma cutting) is still using XP in the base OS for the main controller on the machines we have viewed. My first PC build was right when XP debuted. Fun times.
6. Have you tried to right click on the open , blank page and choose import from there?

Graphtec and Vinylmaster

OK... follow up on my "oval" issue... a big old DUH moment. I wasn't always placing my media in the grit part when I pinched down. The graphtec uses raised grit versus my old cutter which was the same diameter just "nicked up" in certain locations. So with the raising of those grip parts it changes the diameter of the roller, which changes the rate the machine is calibrated to feed. Really felt dumb after I realized. So ya.. Like the graphtec guide says "keep the pinch rollers under the designated blue squares". Doh!

Graphtec and Vinylmaster

<blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="dansell" data-cid="415517" data-time="1459054166">
Hmmm... that is one thing that bugs me, I will have to check that out. I still love this machine! Thanks for the update!

Ya, I wouldn't settle until I figure it out. Another issue I have, is that regardless of the type connection, pc used, or software, the graphtec gets off scale. Like a circle becomes a slight oval. If I toggle between simple and advanced menus on the machine or sometimes just luck it goes back to normal and works a while. No pattern.

Graphtec and Vinylmaster

Just a follow-up, I discovered that with the language changed to hpgl the graphtec didn't "advance after cut" properly in vinylmaster (worked in signblazer), it actually went the opposite way. After a few ... long... hours I tried different languages and found hpgl_rel fixed this and still cuts properly.

Graphtec and Vinylmaster

Add another person saved by this post. I spent from 12 noon to 11 pm trying to figure out why my laserpoint cutter was cutting better than the new graphtec CE6000-60.... Set machine and vinylmaster to hp-gl and good as gold. THANKS!
11. I do not think this is possible, however would be nice... In the condition settings, is there anyway to have say Condition 2 set to disable the media sensor and the pinch roller sensor, but Condition 1&3 to enable them? Or any setting to easily toggle them? I'm trying to make it easier to switch between small drop sheets and rolls as we do both about as equal. The machine is nice to just have it auto setup to front edge with a roll... but as you know having a small 2" x 8" piece doesn't play nice with the two features enabled.
12. Just a follow-up, they fixed me right up. Quick and easy!
13. We recently upgraded our cutter to a Graphtec and at the same time purchased VM LTR. We have a few questions after about 2 days of use to see if anyone knows the answer before we bother their support. These are just features we use in SignBlazer and have grown accustom to after 7 years of use. VM was finally a program we felt was truly an upgrade to SB. 1: When a document is open, how can you add more documents to the same "document". In SB when you clicked open you could select "append" and it would simply add the saved file to the work space screen along with the document you currently have open. This way, if you had to cut 4 or 5 images all the same color you could just manually nest them and cut them all at once. (I am aware of the nesting feature in VM, it takes a few steps, but is nice). Are we going about this wrong? If I have multiple tabs open, and select "cut", it only sends the tab I currently have open to the cut manager, even if all the documents and tabs are the same color. 2: How can we easily open a document without scrolling through them all? In SB when the page was open to show previews, you could scroll to the bottom , enter a letter, example "H" and it would zoom to the files at the "H", the more letters you entered the closer it got to your file. So far, I can't seem to open any screen in VM that allows this, unless I am overlooking. Speaking of which, any way to set the thumbnail view on "Thumbnail" view versus the default "Icon" (smaller view)? 3: In the simple "send to cutter", if you select more than one quantity, it doesn't update the cut preview to show you where this decal would cut from, like left to right or on top or bottom of the image. It does if you go to the "Vinyl Spooler" but then you can't change the direction it adds the image there, even though it shows you where the second (or other quantities) will cut on the roll. So it may stack the image, instead of cutting across the sheet. So if your decal was 11", it would stack them instead of cutting side by side on the 24" roll. I know that is a lot of questions, and I honestly appreciate any input or guidance. I am sure we will have more, but I honestly enjoy the program, has better weeding features and I feel design capabilities over the now outdated SB. THANK YOU!
14. Hey, I submitted the ticket this morning, but I never received a confirmation email or anything from support, I went to the status page, but I don't have a ticket number.
15. Thank you! Just opened a ticket. Hopefully we will be cutting and zooming soon!
16. Hey VM! Thanks for the SOOOOO fast reply! I think I messed up big time! I went back to the demo, and this time demoed the "PRO" version, that IS the version I need, not the LTR version I bought. I paid for this on Amazon, but is there a way to upgrade to the PRO now, while allowing credit for my LTR version to be applied? I see the PRO cost about 175 more in the crossgrade than I paid, but to me if it worth it for the speed of cut files. Please let me know.
17. Just invested in this product after 7 years of signblazer. Even though SB was developed years ago, I finally think this product is an updated and perfect fit for us SB users. I too am waiting on some of these videos.
18. Anyone with this model know if this has a vacuum or suction hold down for the vinyl? Thanks!
19. Update, ordered the new graphtec ce6000-60 Thursday morning, will be here next Wednesday. We have always used serial connections with the older cutters because we had issues with USB, is serial preferred on this brand? I'd like to use it because I already have the cable and port on the pc. Now I have to fab a media basket!
20. Thanks for those samples gang!
21. This is great to hear! So much information can be had in just a few minutes on the best vinyl forum around. :-D
22. We cut a lot of small detailed stuff, some letters are just 1/8" tall. We have Googled for a week for videos and cut samples but nothing shows the cut quality or detail. Also we sometimes have drop vinyl that's about 3" square, the way this machine seems to set itself up is by "seeing" the pinch rollers, can we still cut small sizes like this? Thanks so much gang!
23. Thanks for the quick replies. About to upgrade after 7 years. Excited and nervous.
24. I know this is old, but thanks for the script! It has helped me keep my folders clean!
