Help Moving Inkscape file to SBD

When I have traced the file in Inkscape, and click "save as" and try to save it an an eps file, a screen pops up that says I have to save it as a svg.file or I will lose the data. ??? I am totally confused.
  3. I have tried every contribution concerning vectorizing. I have had success in the past but simply cannot move my eps. or svg. file made in Inkscape to SBD. I have been at it for 2 hours. I also cannot import the jpg. file to vectorize it. Someone, please help. Thanks. Quadi

    MY first paying customer

I sandblast these mugs all the time, and I wholesale them for $6.00 each, or retail for $10.00. If I make a mask for something special, I charge $12.00. The stores to which I wholesaLE charge $14.95. As far as removing all the tape and masking, soak them in a bucket of water for about 15 minutes and the tape will actually fall off, and the vinyl will peel away easily.

    Need help

I normally do not have trouble vectorizing going through inkscape. For some reason, I cannot get this one done. There is a file I titled historic.eps, but when I try to upload it into SBE it tells me that the file cannot be opened. I can't understand why one time I can vectorize, and the next time I can't. Thanks for any help you may offer! I have also looked this page over and cannot seem to upload my image. When I click on the icon it loads but I can't figure out how to load it. Help!!!!!

    First attempt with air eraser

Great job Toolman! I started with an air eraser, advanced to a blasting cabinet, and am about to purchase the pencil blaster. I am addicted to etching glass. I am ready to start selling all the stuff I have etched.

Manwayvan, thanks again for your help. The eps cut beautifully and I had the forty decals whipped out in nothing flat. :)

    Help with vectorizing an image

I guess I had also better look and see who has offered the help. Sorry about that manwayvan. I opened the file in SBD but it appeared in about 10 different shades of black and grey. :) Thanks, anyway.

    Help with vectorizing an image

:)Thanks, Speeddoggy! I really appreciate the help. I am trying. Question. When I open a jpg in Inkscape, trace bit map, delete original then save I have been saving in eps. But when I get ready to close Inkscape, it wants to save the image in SVG or else I will lose data. Should I save in eps anyway, then close without saving the file to Inkscape?

    Help with vectorizing an image

Thanks, Speeddoggy. Now I am unable to find that file either unless I close out, go to search, and type in eps files. Then I find it but can't find it in order to upload it. :-
  14. I have tried (and tried; then tried again ) to vectorize this logo through inkscape, then saving it to an eps file. I can find the file but I cannot get it transferred into SBD so I can cut it. Nor am I able to open the file that I have found. Can someone help me, please? I need to cut 40 of these before tomorrow. Your help would be greatly appreciated. I am attaching the jpg. file. Quadi
  15. Thanks, Scott! I contacted Drakesis and he was able to clean up the file and eps. for me. I had tried until I was about to lose it, so I finally decided to let someone help me. Drakesis' price was very reasonable and the file cut very, very clean. Thanks
