  1. Can I ask where you got your design? I have the same design from the collection. That is bike 13.... Aren't you using the vector image of it. .eps? or .ai.? If So, why are you using Corel? It should be a direct import to Signcut.. Maybe more info is needed here. What type format of file did you originally import ? This is the vector .ai from the collection and it looks nothing like yours.

    SKEETER

Can you share the name of the disc pack this is with?? I have a few Biker benefits coming up and could use some new fresh custom chopper images....

  2. I would say watch it closely see it if is consistently moving one way or the other... Without more information it's kind of hard to pin point.... Sounds like a roller issue of some sort though maybe one is tweaked a little... I'm not sure how that could happen but anything is possible..

  3. I just did a run of 75 shirts very intricate front design large design on the back... All 1 color and weeding them was an absolute NIGHTMARE!!!! I was very cheap per shirt $8.75. I told the customer they would need more then 75 and I was right they sold 60 of them the first 10 days... I informed her the next order would be a little more per shirt due to how much more intricate the vinyl design was then we originally discussed. The original design was pretty simple I came up with but the final design was a lot more.... In the end I came out ahead because now she is ordering hats, soft coolers, can koozies, bandanas, and I replaced all the logos inside the building on the mirror behind the bar.... I have been busy the last 2 weeks on just orders for her...... Long story short if she keeps ordering stuff in these amounts I will be going to a screen print set up.

  4. Is it cutting each letter at once or is it cutting a bunch of the outlines then the inside of the "P"? Mine does that on real long runs of the same image it will cut most of each image then come back and cut the rest later... I think with mine it is caused by a tracking issue as it pulls the vinyl through and cuts the vinyl dog tracks a little then later when it goes back to cut the inside of the letters or design it has moved a little.......

If this isn't the case make sure your cutter is ground to the stand...... Heat transfer vinyl is best to do in small amounts at once due to all the static it holds..... I have heard of people rubbing the vinyl down with dryer sheets but can't personally couch if it helps.....

  5. I understand that.. The Cutting Controller Program is built into the cutter, in order for that to relay information back to the computer you have to have a connection that always 2 way communication. IE The cutter needs to be able to "talk" back to the computer, if your print server does not allow information to be transmitted back to the computer then you will not be able to access programs within the cutter. If your server is a 1 way it will only allow information to be sent from the computer to the cutter... The nature of the error you are receiving tells me the computer is sending a signal to open the program in the cutter but not receiving a signal back relaying the information so as a default it assumes that the cutter never received the request so the default action is to flag an error just saying it is not connected to the computer.... If it is a 1 way server you can send information to the cutter all day long but never receive anything back..... The fact that it shows up as being connected is only by the parameters set by the drivers all it does it take the information from certain fields and "re display" that for the name of the connected device it does not necessarily mean that it actually knows what device the print server is connected to...

  6. Does the print server allow 2 way communication??? I would think in order for those options to work the cutter has to be able to communicate back to the computer.... I know with some of the lower end machines (Not Graphtec of course) even on USB they will not communicate 2 ways until you connect via serial cable...... I would double check the settings on that print server and verify it will allow the printer (cutter in your case) to communicate back to the computer.....

  7. I didn't use heat. I'm still new. How would I use heat to help contour? Blow dryer?

If that is working for you keep with that.... If it were me I would use my heat gun and slowly heat it... Once you get some better vinyl you will be amazed at the difference in how well you can work with it.

  8. Make sure your cutter is grounded to the stand. Are you running on USB or Serial cable? I had many many issues on USB going to a serial has solved all of them been running flawless ever since... Some members even rub a dryer sheet on the vinyl to help eliminate any static being transferred through the machine.

  9. I know there probably isn't a whole lot of interest here for this machine but I need it out of my way. I have it listed on CL for $1300. I have a new power supply in it and have most all the bugs worked out. The only thing it needs it a new black printhead. There are some lines that appear when it prints and the service tech told me this was the issue. He also suggested a new belt in the near future but said this one will suffice for a while still.... I may be open to a partial trade on something but as I said I need this machine gone. It has a new power supply and a partial roll of 42" HP paper with it.... Of course the other down side is it is located in Muskegon, MI and very very bulky.... Again I am open to hear any reasonable offer....

(I did read the rules and I know it says no competitors items but I didn't see where this would fall into that category since it isn't a solvent printer.)

  10. I started with the Siser and love it... However this last week I ran out and had to get some material the same day and my local supplier only carries Thermoflex. I really didn't notcie to much difference in it except that the backing is much much stickier so weeding was a little more of a pain since my hands and arms kept sticking to it when I was trying to hold it down.. One thing I did like better about it was every roll came with its own sheet on press time and temperature... Not that its not easy to find that info but it was nice to see it right there at the point of purchase. I held up a shirt done with Siser next to one done with Thermoflex and I couldn't see any difference at all.... We will see how time tells with washing them and if I remember I will report back with further results.

  11. What you have to really watch for is what is the largest CUTTING width.... Just because you can load 31" material in the machine does not mean it will cut that wide.... I have a 31" machine but the max cutting width is 27.799 inches..... Unless you plan on doing a bunch of very large lettering or images on tractor trailers and what not a 24" machine is more then enough... I have done a few trailers with mine and didn't have any issues but if it where something I was going to do a lot of I would go with a larger 54" machine. Again as stated above buy the best you can afford...

  12. Plug the printer in and when the screen pops up asking to install the driver do it manually and point it to the folder where the files unzipped. ( I am assuming you are running windows.) If you have already plugged it in you will have to go into the device manager and uninstall the driver then reinstall the correct one from the folder the ones you unzipped.
