See if you can get SignCut to work. It is the program we now bundle with all of our cutters. It is a nicer program, mainly because you can do inches, cm, or mm. Artcut only allows for mm. A free trial is available at www.sc-x2.com

Maybe run a scan on your computer to see if there are any issues. Viruses cause this type of problem from what I've seen. :spider:

After replacing the MB, I would double check to make sure all of the cables are in the correct place. If you have a newer MB, the colored cables that run from the belt motor go to the connection towards the back of the board. The colored cables that come from the case go toward the front. The shorter flat grey cable goes near the fan, the longer flat grey cable goes toward the front of the board. Double check the connections. Keep me posted. -

mh 721 cutting problem
kenimes replied to geister121's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Support Requests
The knife drag issue I have seen a few times with returned cutters, and a new motherboard has solved the issue each time. If you are under warranty, this is a covered issue. If you are not, I would suggest ordering a replacement MB from uscutterdirect.com :xxx -

Try downloading the newest USB driver from our download section at uscutter.com Also, even though SignCut says to.....I have never changed the baud rate when using the USB connection and it has worked just fine. Maybe try setting both of them back to 9600 Keep me posted -
Refine MH721 Problems - Cycles through Restart Phase
kenimes replied to paulsmastr's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Discussion
Sounds like it may be a motherboard issue. You can email me directly at kenimes@uscutter.com for some troubleshooting and/ or a motherboard replacement. -
Yea, sorry. Only know about the cutters we sell so far, and still learning. You'll want to check with Roland.

Yea- mine says PE as well up top. I think it had something to do with the tile settings. They were a pain to try and correct, but it seems to be the answer. Just wish there was a button to click on that made them go away.
-
Nope- got it registered for the 1 year PE

I am leaning towards a motherboard issue then. You can email me direct at kenimes@uscutter.com -
So, what are the blue line boxes that just appear out of nowhere in SignCut? Are they tiles? Are they reg marks? Weeding lines? I cannot seem to get rid of them. The only way so far is by uninstalling and reinstalling SignCut. They then go away. Then they come back and I cant get rid of them. So when I cut it only cuts sections of my project. Please explain and help me with a solution to get rid of the blue lines. I have had several customers call about this. Thank you, Ken

Looks really good. The customer got a steal..... I know car decals 1/4 that size go for around $250 here in Seattle. Just vinyl on the windows, and the labor of course. But yea....internet pricing is tough to compete with.

Hello and welcome to the forums!! :waving: If you are using a Windows based machine, I would try the new USB drivers on our site under downloads. They are self extracting and easy to install. If you are using a Mac- you might try purchasing the Keyspan USB to Serial adapter.

Are you running the Copam on a Windows based machine or Mac?
