Not sure what to charge on this. Business front door, 2 layer, easy weeding, 19 in. X 5.5 in. installed. Thanks, Dave

minimum shipping for BlankShirts.com is $12.45. They say it's based on UPS rates. Dave

These so called crystal engraving lasers are usually a Nd:YAG (neodymium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet) type laser. They're pricey and most of the ones i've seen are from China. Do a Google search and you'll get pages of info. Dave

My Husky/Shepard mix, Taz passed away last year. I thought it was time to try my hand converting his photo to vector for cutting. The EZ weed certainly lived up to it's name. When faced with a dilemma, I ask myself...What Would Taz Do?. Unfortunately the answer is chew it up or pee on it.

I wanted something easily readable. The first is a 3D rendering for the website. The other is for vinyl.

It was a steal @ $3K. It's 10 years old, which is ancient for a laser (with the original tube!) and still works at the rated power as best I can tell. I used to work at a visual effects studio in Hollywood where the owner used it for building miniatures. A few years ago when he was short on cash I bought it from him for a song. It was 28K new.

A few years ago I built a JGRO type DIY CNC router. Great for making wood signs and plaques. I also bought a used 25 watt Epilog laser. The laser is probably the most versitile tool I own. I can cut and engrave wood and acrylic as well as engraving on granite, marble and glass etc. I wish I had the marketing sense to make it more profitable. Dave

Runs off with a long line

Jim, Can you tell us what the solution was? My Refine did this once when cutting a complex design. Dave -
You may have hairlines set in Corel. Select the elements and for stroke, change hairline to none. This might help. Also when in SB, select the design and under 'Arrange' choose Split objects and check to see if they are ontop of each other. Dave

I noticed that too. Offset looks to be a bit high. The letters were typed in Corel, not traced. Dave

Ive noticed sometimes when I export from Corel into SB some letters don't cut completely. In my case it can be traced to nodes stacked on top of one another. Not sure why it happens. I'm exporting as an eps with Postscript 2 file compatability. The images tell the story... Dave
