That's how I felt towards the end of my 150 Michigan Mittens. And those orders are still rolling in. Who knew it would be such a crazy popular design! Good stuff though, it's been the only thing making us money recently.

Good luck guys! I'm still working on the quote for the job I mentioned in another thread. 10, 2 sided (3 color) coro signs, and 5 trucks, both sides each truck. (Images in the Font forum) All the same design on everything, but way bigger than any job we've done to date. Still not sure what to charge, I don't want to over quote and not get the job, but don't want to under quote and not make any $$$. (While you're reading this, if you have a price suggestion for me... I wouldn't ignore you. )

Yes, that's what they were... I thought maybe there was a font made from it, but I haven't found an exact match. With as many stencil fonts as I found, it's odd that I couldn't find THAT one!
-
So far I haven't had any luck finding out what this font is- It looks like it should be easy enough to find, so I'm not sure why I'm having a hard time! Also, can you all tell from these pictures, whether the font is the same on all of the lettering and numbering?? Sure would be nice if they had given me better pictures to work with! Thanks!

Trying To Make Arched Text Look Right...Please Help
TimnAng replied to Kelleybell123's topic in Sure Cuts A Lot Pro
I'm having the same trouble getting my arched text to look right... in both MTC and SCALP. I'll give it a go in SB. Maybe I'll have better luck! -
I looked there, Dakota, thank you. I checked out a few different font sites and didn't have any luck. Thought maybe I just missed it! If I have to go that route, mb, I may... but if the E is wrong, I'm betting it's not the only letter that will be. Thanks for re-working the E for me, I do know how to alter it, but I appreciate you taking the time to do it for me, just in case.
-
When trying to use that one, I realized it's not close enough- the E is too noticeably different. Thanks though!

Thank you! I think that's the one I'll start out with and see what they think- I was under the impression that the job was already done in vinyl, but when I messaged her to discuss the font further, I asked if it was painted on. It was. So I told her I'd do my best to use a font that closely resembled the stencil, but couldn't promise it would be exact. Personally, I don't like the stenciled look at all. Not when there are so many nice fonts out there. But hey, they're the ones paying for it.

Looks good, but yeah, the back leg needs some work!

The wording "Tree" near the US Dot looks like it's the same, but I can't tell with the rest of text. I asked what font they wanted me to use. "Same as the pictures" they tell me. D'oh. Great. I asked them to send me a closer, more clear image to go on then!

Almost always Country of some sort... but I do all of my work from my living room/kitchen, and usually after the kids are in bed, so it's down low. When the cutter is running, I generally don't bother having music on, it's pretty loud in here at that point. lol

I spent a while reading back on quite a few old posts about what to use on yard signs, etc. Lots of great information, as always! But I still have just a few questions that either weren't covered, or I missed along the way. I had someone contact me about doing advertising on 5 of their work trucks (both sides each truck) and 10 double sided yard signs. This is the first job of this type, that we've been asked to work up a design and quote for, so I'm trying to research everything as much as possible. Question #1- She asked for "Standard" yard sign size. In your experience, what would you consider standard in this situation? (It's for a tree trimming company, if that makes a difference). #2- I'm looking at the white corrugated plastic from USCutter, and am wondering if those are thick enough that I'll be able to use cut vinyl on both sides, without it showing through from side to side? #3- The description says that it's perfect for "temporary" signage. What exactly do they consider temporary? I don't want this to last a few weeks and end up junk. Thanks, as always!
-
Thanks for your help! I'll check Wensco- they have a warehouse near us, that's where I used to get out vinyl, before finding USC.
-
It looks like USCutter is a decent way to go as far as the signs themselves, but I don't want to have to order 50 of the wire stakes. Is there anywhere that sells the stakes individually or in smaller quantities? If this works out for us, buying extra is great, but not knowing if I'll have the need for more, I'd rather just buy what I need (even if it costs a little more) than have a bunch of extra product kickin' around. Space is limited, folks! lol

They look great. I think she'll love them!

Looks great! This is what hubby and I were talking about doing, for our smaller decals as well, we just weren't exactly sure how to go about it. I wouldn't do it for all orders, but it definitely looks nice if you're able to get into a retail type situation!

Here's what I came up with for the UN helmet that I had the request for. The guy ordered 5 of them, and before I could get those cut and shipped to him, he already asked for 5 more, with more pending. It's hard to tell in the picture, but the center of the bullet hole is cut through (not sure if you can tell that, with the white paper backing).
-
Becky, it would be easier to do that yourself, that way you can use whichever font you'd like, and you wouldn't be stuck using the same font style every time you wanted to use it. Not to mention, doing this for the whole alphabet (upper and lower case) would likely be a lot of work for someone who isn't needing the font/design themselves. Just my 2cents.
-
Here ya go. Edited to add: Just take out the UN and the bullet hole, if you're just looking for the plain helmet. HelmetBulletUN.svg

Very nice! Could definitely use that graphic around here. Love the color choices as well.

Looks great! Looks like another node you could edit- on the left side of the ribbon, up towards where the ribbon overlaps on itself, if that makes sense. It caught my eye right away.

They look good. Layering can be a bitch- I never seem to get every one perfect, when I do them in multiples. Keep on attempting to do it different ways, to find what works best for me!
