You can google weedersheeter, I have never used either the weeder or the sheeter but I would like to try the sheeter. Did that sound ridiculous or is it just me?
-
I think it's worth a lot more than $20. I'm sure we have all had family or friends try to pay later etc. Now I don't start work without a nonrefundable deposit even for family.

What side of the HTV are you cutting? If you are cutting the type that has a plastic backing make sure you are not cutting the backing. You should have to mirror your design.

Best (cheapest) place to buy blade holder
KYSIGN replied to fustratedinhawaii's topic in General discussion
I have purchased 3 from cnccheap on the auction site. They have all been excellent. -
You should barely be able to see or feel the blade sticking out. The blade should cut your vinyl and just barely leave an indentation on the backing material. Mz Skeeter will be along shortly to set you straight. If you have your blade sticking out 1/2 inch you have probably destroyed your cutting strip and who knows what else. I don't have your type of cutter. I imagine it has a adjustment screw and a lock screw. Unscrew the lock screw and adjust your blade depth and then tighten the lock screw. Didn't you get a manual? Don't try to cut more than a small test square. Don't waste material.

Cutter will cut the image, but then head off on it's own in flexi
KYSIGN replied to NWAWraps's topic in Flexi
Have you "printed" to your cutter at some point? I don't know if that's possible with flexi or not. Check your printer queue. Hopefully someone else has some input. -

The cutter memory should be cleared once turned off. If flexi is still in the process of sending data when you turn the cutter back on it may start cutting again. -

Check your production manager. You probably have a few jobs queued. Delete those and you should be fine. -

I'm not upset at all. I just think you are wasting valuable time and money and explained why. I think it's an interesting idea but not economical.

How much do you charge for a decal that size? How much are you charging for that bag? Nothing? Why would I pay $x for a decal that size when they are apparently worth so little you give them away. How much is your time worth? How much did that bag and decal cost you after your time?

cutting small circles in corners of small text where it should be sharp edges
KYSIGN replied to j.ldesigns's topic in Flexi
If you have offset set on the cutter and flexi you will have problems. You should use one or the other.- 13 replies

What Maintenance to do CE5000
KYSIGN replied to Izzy11's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
Disclaimer: Try this at your own risk. You may void your warranty. I don't open my cutter but I do lube the rail on occasion. When I first got my ce6000 it had a small amount of grease on the rail. After some research I found they use a silicone grease. I gently wipe off the old grease with a dry disposal towel and add just a small amount of the grease and spread it along the rail. The old grease is full of dust and is abrasive. I'll try to update with the brand I use. It's made for divers but I can't remember the name. -
My guess is they didn't make those mugs using that press. They kept cutting the video at key points. I could stick the mug handle in my toaster and then reveal a perfectly sublimated mug. It's like magic.

Do you cut from a laptop that is plugged into a ac wall adapter? A good friend of mine had trouble cutting with USB unless she was on battery power. She eventually got a Keyspan adapter and that fixed the problem. -
That seems like a perfect way to devalue your work. If you can give away decals on a bag then...

Can't find the layering video someone else posted while back .

No problem. I remembered it was posted by wildgoose so that narrowed down the search. -
Do you know someone with an older pc that has a serial port? If so you can install the driver and signblazer and be in business. You may try your local goodwill for a old pc with a serial port. I assume you have a serial cable already? Good luck.

+1 on findmyfont. I recently purchased the program and it has already paid for itself in time saved. I was using the whatthefont capture/upload that's built into corel draw x7 but it doesn't compare to findmyfont.

I have enough fonts that none of the font programs work. The programs show the correct name but display the wrong font. Even worse is that if I attempt to add/remove a font using the program it adds/removes the wrong font. I don't have anywhere near the amount that dcbevins has either.

Printer Gets Hung Up Printing Registration Marks..

You could try gently bending it in the opposite direction or maybe wrap it around a cylinder for awhile. You could also try heating the paper before putting it under the book.
