  1. i have had no problems with the new powerdriver..

What version of Win 7 are you running?  I wonder if it matters if you are running Home, Basic, Professional etc...  Was it an upgrade install or full version install?  Sounds like a clean install which Dakotagrafx said he was told it needs to be in order to work.

  2. Thanks for the info dakota...I guess I'll take an old laptop, through XP on it, and use that to print from.  That would give me flexability on where I put the printer anyway.

Glad I found this out now before I start messing with it.  Since I just bought the printer from Conde and they offer free tech support where they will log into your computer and set the printer up maybe I should let them try installing on my Win 7 machine and see what happens for them.

  3. ... the powerdriver for the 3110 does not work with windows 7 64 bit home premium...

What are the symptoms?  Does it just fail and not print at all or is there odd behavior like what SeeJay describes?  I'll be installing my 3110 in a week or so and am running Windows 7 64, not sure which version though.

  4. Hi all. I am new to the forum and am anxiously awaiting my new cutter to arrive. I have etched some projects in the past, but am looking for a better way. I use the armor etch and just can't get a nice even finish. What is a better way? Thanks!!

The better way is to get an air compressor and sandblast cabinet.  Do some searches, there are plenty of old threads with suggestions and information on etching in a cabinet.

  5. I've heard that the main library in downtown Cleveland has a 3d printer available to the public

    Hmmmm.

My wife is going to Akron U. and they open up the engineering departments 3d printer to all students for a week each semester, I might have to take advantage of it before she graduates.

  6. newtread - From what I read that would not help the fact that on Nexus 7 the headphone jack will not operate the card reader https://community.intuit.com/questions/705399-nexus-7-problem-card-reader

There are android based tablets that will work though, but you will still need cellular or wireless connection.  If you have a smartphone that's the easiest way as as far as I know all iPhones and android smartphones will work with the card reader.

  7. I wish I knew... I download the app from the google play store and during installation, it stops and tells me device not compatible with this app.

I ran into this with my Nexus 7.  The problem is the headphone jack, it's not wired physically to work with card readers.  It's idiotic but when I searched online that's the answer I found.  You can type in the card information manually instead of scanning and the software will work for you.
