Printed up two photos tonight, one on clear (silver) and one on glossy white. This is one of my daughter's senior pictures and we are thinking of printing these up as Christmas gifts. For this type of photo the glossy white is definitely the better finish. My iPhone photos aren't that great, they came out a lot better than the pictures look. The top one is on glossy white, the bottom photo is clear (silver)

Thanks, they look even better in person. I think it's time to build a light tent for better photos! I bought them from Conde. http://www.dyetrans.com/products.php?webmaincat=sub_prods&websubcat=chromaluxe&websubcat2=aluminum&websubcat3=&wsc4=

congrats on getting paid, making a customer happy, and learning things you can take to your next job

I bought a used Knights mug press and finally decided to try it out. As you can see by the photos the result was not great. Does it look like too little pressure or is it the heating pad? I cooked it for 4 mins @ 400 degrees as per Conde's instructions.
-
Nope, still a little fading. At least i know now that it works, the time/pressure just needs to be dialed in. I just wanted to confirm that it works properly before putting it up for sale.

6:00 was definitely better. Still some slight fading on one side but good enough that I'm comfortable enough to put it up for sale this weekend.

How do you go about finding a customer like that, I'd like to get one!!
-
Wow, you have a demand for that many mugs?
-
Impressive, looks great. As for the design/colors, if the customer is happy then that's all you need to worry about!
-
Thank you, I'll try 6 mins tonight then. I'm feeling optimistic now!!

The paper is the mug paper from Conde. I'll go longer and see if it improves. I'm most likely going to sell it as I have cactus wraps and got those right my first try! Plus then I can do shot glasses and larger steins. I'll give it a try tomorrow and report back. Thanks.

A great first example, looks fantastic!

Thanks guys, I'll stop on my way home tonight and pick some up and give it a shot.

So I bought a used Knight mug press off of a guy on Ebay and I want to fix it up a bit before I either sell it or use it. It works fine, I think it just needs to be glued into place? As you can see by the photo the heating mat it pulled away from the metal. Is there a high temp glue I can use to put this back to where it should be? Thanks.

...I'm addicted to sublimation printing. I made these two phone cases for my daughter tonight. She absolutely loved them and my wife was even impressed, which she isn't normally with the things I do!!!

Ouch, now way to make a profit off of something of that (low) quality.

I hear you, my $250 order arrives Wednesday

Looks good. Since it's meant to be seen at a distance and read quickly I'm wondering if instead of comma's you should use hyphens? I'm wondering if it would make it easier to read quickly? Not sure, just wondering. -
I made the mistake of showing my daughter Conde's website, now she is asking me if I can make all kinds of things for her! Thanks for the compliments all.

Thanks all, especially for welcoming me to the club for the addicted! My 17 year old daughter was jumping up and down with excitement over these and is already hitting me up for me. I'm already planning out my next order for blanks!
