Do you have the blade just barely sticking out of the holder? Make sure the carriage head is firmly on the track, can come off during shipping. Are you sure you have a good cuttable design? Maybe post it in .eps

Your Flexisign program has to be at least 8.5 version to be compatible with Vista. Just install your Flexisign, everything is in it. and enter your Brand and make of cutter, in set up.

I had the same thought when I bought the Graphtec, I read those ads and specs so many times,, all models of Rolands and Graphtecs, Summa, and many others, It's a big decision for a $200-300 investment, Try making that $2500-3000 decision. I believe I made the right decision with my Graphtec, never a problem, and a super great warranty.. I love it, Would definately be my first choice again.

Flexistarter was the bundled software for the Seiki, I love it, and very ez to use,, but has limitations on designing, but you can use www.inkscape.org to design in and it is FREE to download and use. Most people on this forum use Sign Blazer, I personally do not use it. So I have no opinion on it.

I started with a Seiki 850H 30" with Flexistarter software, It paid for it'self right away, Then Feb 2008, I purchased a Graphtec Fc7000mk2-75 30" and am still using Flexistarter software, Also that cutter paid for it's self right away..

If you would do a search in www.dogpile.com window washing clip art .... you will see that a bunch will show up.. You can find more in the search engines than in here,, doing a search is very ez.. Then if it isn't vectorized, run it thru www.inkscape.org and save as a .eps

He takes in his first post, he doesn't even have SignCut,

You say you have no desire to run a sign shop,, but you may find out how ez it is to make some money, just from word of mouth, as soon as someone finds out you have a vinyl cutter, I am also 60 and had no desire to open a sign shop 3 years ago, and still do not have a sign shop, but after working 30 years at a job that I thought I would retire from, my job went to Mexico, I taught myself the vinyl cutting business and have a great EBAY store, where I do support myself, work at home, and make more money than the good factory job that I had, plus I only work a few hours a day, and the rest of the day is mine, So, things change, You may find other ways to make a great living from that machine, that you would have never thought of before. I primary do full vehicle decals and stripes. I prefer doing this over doing any type of signs.

What type of vinyl cutter do you have?? Also at the top of your Flexi screen is HELP, click it, then Help topics, See if there is any info there, on contour cutting.

First I would go to www.youtube.com and see if there are any tutorials and videos on the Subject.. People put tons of info on videos that will walk you thru things. There are quite a few videos on vinyl cutters on there..

What cuttter is is set up in Flexi?
