All *.eps files are bad?

inkscape does not open .eps files.. that why you save the files as a svg file and .eps file so you can import the svg file back in for edits. -

did you go to the Master website on that? They have the drivers and the cables http://www.masterwarehouse.com/help/ ** New Windows 7 and Windows Vista Customers: Old usb cable from your cutter, only works with windows 2000 and XP, it is not compatible with new Windows 7 and Vista system. For working with new Windows 7 and Vista system (32bit and 64bit version), please purchase new USB cable (part# IO-232A) from our online store. Guarantee working. ! -
Anyone have a quick video on how to layer colors on SB on the software?
MZ SKEETER replied to icecolddealz's topic in SignBlazer
if you enter the word JING into the search box at upper right for forums you might find some. People use Jing for showing tutorials.. You also might find some other helpful screen casts. Have you read the Signblazer manual? Screen casts ..might be another search term -
here is the angel file I used, download it and see if it will work. angel007_v8.ai

just did another one, v8.ai my illustrator is CS2 saving as v8 .ai maybe a problem with your file..
-
I just downloaded the trial version of Signcut pro, just for the heck of it... saved a file in version 8 .ai and opened it in Signcut, no problems. It does say open... This is my first time ever using it. It didn't crash, bounce, jump or fly...

maybe if you could post up your file, maybe someone can figure it out are you importing the files? Most cutting software requires importing, not opening. I don't have Signcut, but just a thought. I noticed in another thread, you said "opening". the files in Signcut. Your statement below.... Rendering these into EPS 8 then opening them up in SignCut is hit and miss. The cuts that I need to make are not there in some, and in others, there are HUGE LINES that are about 6x as big as the image. And with a 20"x30" image, you can imagine the size.

great, glad you got it going correctly

If your cutting thru the vinyl backing the blade is out too far or to much force. If you haven't read the newbie manual, start there. Download in first post

download inkscape.org vectorising in Inkscape Posted by Levi Hartzog on 16 January 2009 02:31 PM This walk through explains the basics of vectorising in Inkscape. Step 1) Import your image. Click File>Import, find your file and click OK. Step 2) Select the image, go to the top of the screen, click Path>Trace Bitmap. Step 3) The Trace Bitmap menu will then open. Here you can select how you want your image vectorised and adjust the settings. You can also generate a preview. Once you are happy with the preview click OK and close the Trace Bitmap screen. Step 4) Now you will have your new vector image and the old raster (bitmap, jpeg, gif etc) image stacked on top of each other. Seperate the two and delete the raster. Step 5) Play around with your new vector image!

yes, click save as.. in the file format you want..
-
every thing you cut has to be a vector file. Your cutter only cuts outlines...illustrator has automatic trace, read your manual... import your design, ,, click object> live trace> make and expand, save in whatever file format you want.
-
did you vector/trace the original image in illustrator? You can't just save it as an .eps file. It has to BE a vector file first. Then save it as an .eps file

Mixed USCutter service/Copam bucket of problems/MH721 broken out of the box
MZ SKEETER replied to chixwithtrix's topic in Criticism and Complaints about USCutter
I was kinda curious to see why they JUST changed their user name from chixwithtrix to current user name. SV26. Wonder what the trix were?? Just not enough trix to run a vinyl cutter. -
those are real simple designs, why aren't you making them with your vinyl cutter?
-
congrats on your upgrade.. BIG difference in a hobby cutter vs a Pro cutter don't you think? great job

What is going on with this company?
MZ SKEETER replied to kcr357's topic in Criticism and Complaints about USCutter
it's still there, for you to buy, you can't get it when it's in a quote, I don't think it picks up the entire link, so it showed not a good item, removed, I noticed that last night when I clicked on the link in a quote, http://cgi.ebay.com/Martha-Stewart-Edition-Cricut-Cake-Cutting-Machine-NEW-/270773618707?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f0b5d8813 -

SURE you will return, YOU still need help getting any cutter you purchase up and running.... Good luck with that,
