Please help walk me though my install "new cutter"
MZ SKEETER replied to torquen's topic in General discussion
I don't upgrade my computers. I use a Toshiba XP laptop as my dedicated computer,,with my vinyl cutter. with an XP backup (purchased USED)...and I run a business on mine. You don't need a new powerful computer to run a vinyl cutter. There are many great deals on EBAY for used XP machines. Some even with serial ports. -
The way I get it now, (could be wrong) ..He wants a software programmer/designer or someone software savvy enough, to be able to read the Signblazer software program/ language, (all the files within it)....to find the file with the drivers in it.. (to know where to copy the drivers within Signblazer) ..then copy it to a different computer. Is this close to what you are wanting?
-
I wouldn't have caught that. unless I read the user manual for the CE5000. My FC7000 doesn't have that on the COMMAND, I checked... it is at a different place on the menu for Origin set.. Glad you could help him out.. RPMgrafix

I used to live there many, many, years ago..in my early 20s,

if you post an .eps file, more people can help you... Myself and a lot of others don't use Signblazer... Maybe Jay, the Signblazer Guru will pop in and help you..

There are some great deals on EBAY for XP computers. , I never upgrade, I have an XP computer and I keep an XP backup..And I run a business. My computer is dedicated just for my cutter. . more reliable and stable. As yours should be, dedicated just for your vinyl cutter only. You can pick up xps for $50.00... LOOK... alot with serial cables. Why does it have to be windows 7? You don't need a new powerful computer to run a vinyl cutter..

LMAO...,, looking for a husband.. DEAD OR ALIVE......I took it down.. and added a new on without all my business on it... lol THANKS!!!!!

did you go into your cutter menu? COMMAND> and make sure origin is on L.L. as shown above?
-
He is referring to this page Page 37 Of user manual
-
he needs advance page after job checked, uncheck limit to workspace. uncheck sort before cutting uncheck x axis override uncheck trim tiles check>cutter movement> Fastest Path.
-
go to top of screen.... edit> preferences> at the bottom of dropdown , go in and see if you can make changes.. save them..
-
24" wide by what length?? 24" wide is too wide to cut width.. Your max cutting width is like 23.7" on a 24" vinyl cutter Carriage head should be all the way over to the right, at edge of right side of vinyl. load media> roll1>enter>origin, start cutting.. That is all I have to do...
-
they can be exported from Signblazer as .eps If you want to take the time.
-
mine starts cutting in the middle also, according to my design. Are you expecting it to cut from the very front of the vinyl.? That's not the way it cuts.. Maybe more info is needed. Is it still feeding out 10 ft. then cutting? I use rear roll 1 , but I have a Graphtec FC7000
-
possibly Pm Mr300s and he might send you more screen shots of his set up. He has been running with Signblazer since he got his Graphtec CE5000. I personally use Flexistarter with mine.
-
here look down on the screenshot from Mr300s post, He uses Signblazer with his Graphtec CE5000 and no problems http://forum.uscutte...__fromsearch__1 Then I believe it says Copam 2500, as the same driver I use Controller settings on the Graphtec Controller,, only. I make no adjustments directly on the vinyl cutter, such as force, speed, quality, offset, etc. All done on the Controller Did you change to HP-GL on the menu, on your vinyl cutter? Because you don't have Controller settings checked, any adjustments in there, will do nothing. You are controlling directly from vinyl cutter.

Looking on my Flexistarter 8.5 set up is GCC> then for model SIGN PAL BOBCAT Bl-60

USCutter needs to learn that 340pm (PST) is not closing time
MZ SKEETER replied to jimwww's topic in General discussion
next......you lost your place in line.. like I said, they gotta shut it down sometime, or they will never get out of there.. you don't know how many people was already waiting on hold after you hung up. You just can't jump back in 20 minutes to closing, There could have been10- 30-50 or more people on hold.. Not enough time to take all the calls. Every call is going to be over a minute. Place your orders earlier in the day, and have it correct the first time.. Order online, if that is an option for you, then you can look over your order.. -
is this a different cutter? from Signwarehouse support I have a Bobcat Vinyl Cutter. Can I use a USB connection? Unfortunately you will not be able to get running on USB to USB cables. The USB port on your cutter is not for job information. If you only have USB available on your computer you can purchase a Keyspan High-speed USB Serial Adapter. ( http://www.keyspan.com/products/usb/USA19HS/) This will create a virtual serial port thru one of your USB ports. At this time you would assign your COM port in Production Manager to send information thru the COM port assigned to the Keyspan adapter.

what cutting software are they using with this cutter?
-
Here are the drivers...for the MH series. The same driver can work for different vinyl cutters. The ROLAND PNC1000 is a generic driver that works for many vinyl cutters. http://support.uscut...ws-xp--vista--7
