i am installing a decal that covers the front and rear door on a prius later, and i am wondering what the best method for finishing the edges is. normally i just make sure the edges are clean and wrap the vinyl around to the back...but is it better to cut it short and not mark the curve to prevent peeling? thanks guys

around a hundred bucks -
how do you guys do it?!?! the stuff is everywhere lol. my method is just rolling up all the little pieces and shoving them into an empty cardboard roll, but whenever i want a piece and have to take out the whole mess of scrap it is annoying. lets hear your vinyl saving methods...

make sure the letters are good and dry before doing the second layer. sometimes i do the first layer, go do another job, then come back and complete the second layer. -

u may think the window is clean but you could have dust under the vinyl which makes it visible from the other side. i used to tint windows and the smallest speck of dust is the biggest headache. try razoring the windows to clean them. just an idea. and also just regurgitating what i have read on here...dont use a blade to pop bubbles use a pin.

does anyone have any experience with them? if so i would like to know whatever you are willing to tell. right now there are a lot of empty ones at my local mall because of how slow the economy is. i heard they go for around 5 hundred a month. if thats the case you would only have to make 20 bucks a day to not LOSE money (assuming i would just be sitting at home instead) and i could also work on other projects if it is slow. lemme here it! thanks, jayson

advertising/ generating business
jayfil23 posted a topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
what do you guys do to bring in business? for my first couple of months i was rolling pretty nicely by word of mouth without any advertising, but now things are totally slow for me. i use craigslist and make signs about 1 by 2 feet and hang them up on telephone poles but it isnt bringing in much. i know in previous post many of you have said that word of mouth basically gets it done, but what about when you were first getting started or when it is slow? all ideas will be great! thanks guys
