I read an article about using fish line to cut the adhesive behind the silverado - then finish removing the adhesive. I would think just a little heat would holt to take it off

How to align your Paper?
Dakotagrafx replied to convictedthruChrist's topic in Instructional Contributions
Wow talk about junping in the deep end of the pool right off the bat . . .trying to contour cut with a plotter not intended to contour cut! As said it can be done but it is challenging even for an old timer without a machine made to contour cut. good luck and keep us posted -
I definitely have no room to talk about anyone on spelling and grammar. I thought my Grammar wasn't bad until I worked 3 ft from a executive secretary for 3 years and found I am not qualified to talk at all.

Another public service announcement - Surge suppressors
Dakotagrafx posted a topic in General discussion
Just a reminder to have your computer and cutter on a good surge suppressor. With power outages from snow and Ice and with spring storms coming it is important to have a good surge suppressor on your electronics. On the computer I use a rather cheap battery back up unit and SS on the cutters! sometimes the simplest of things go overlooked until it is too late. -

Pricing help for 1000 vinyl stickers
Dakotagrafx replied to uscutterboy's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Welcome aboard - you really have to watch for people trying to lowball you like that. funny thing is after you turn down the job at the ridiculous price they come back later without the crazy price expectation. I had someone last year want me to do 100 busy t-shirts in vinyl for 6.00 each . . .yeh right - but they have been back many times for sublimation and signage -
nice work Neron

Usit it for over 10 years and love it! Great to look back at expenses by category or even check say the past 2 years of natural gas bills to compare by the month!

How do you.........umm.....
Dakotagrafx replied to VendettaVinyl's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
definitely agree - it would be brittle and no good could come of trying to save it -
I've been buying a lot of my vinyl from the same guy for 4 years. Never a bad experience and I have literally bought hundreds of rolls. It's not cheap stuff, either. Usually FDC, sometimes Avery or 3m. he has some great deals on specialty vinyl too. http://myworld.ebay.com/stickerman5000/ he's kinda low right now which means he'll probably be listing a bunch more soon. I'm also a big fan of Adam (stickerman5000)

fort he Jersies have you considered plastisol transfers? I used imagemill for some custom work and they did a great job. when applied it is just like you screen printed them without the screen printing mess! -
