it is rare for the efi thing to be a problem. have you contacted USC thru a support ticket to discuss it with them? -

if you are in southern Ohio you may have the EFI problem - the other member finally went to a copam after trying everything else to solve the issue. he took the cuttter to his moms 60 miles away and it worked great but in his home he never resolved it. that was a very rare thing though -
the reason I use alpine is they are a new vendor and there price is cheap - so all vinyl is new and they really go out of their way to please ya. they have the colors on their site

here ya go Graphic1.eps Graphic1.eps

This unit is like the OLD p-cut machines - serial connection only. your maching should do what you want already with a carrier sheet like the cricut or craft robo uses for the sheetgoods

on signblazer - once you send it to the cutter section of the program the second radio button on the left hand side says rotate across vinyl - that will make it cut length ways - don't forget to change the vinyl size in that portion of the program also
-
you don't say which program you are using to cut with but in most after you send it to the cut section there is a button to turn the graphic to cut the length of the vinyl instead of the width

This is going to be day 1 if there is no offical response. Jim Dakotagrafx: Why do you keep trying to derail this....with childish comments? Im employed, divorce has been finalized for 5 years, no pet rock but wouldnt mind a chia pet (hint hint), my PROBLEM is the grounding issues with the cutter! hint - this is a public forum - contact US Cutter directly, this is not their official support platform - just people helping people with an occasional drop in from the techies. your response of "This is going to be day 1 if there is no offical response." is in the wrong place and is way out of line making threats to spam the site as you have already started doing. childish - a little and I let myself be knocked off my square a little while sick but I am coming to my senses and choose to put my future efforts into something a little more positive and less childish. thanks

Unemployed, divorcing, pet rock quit talking - common what is really the problem (there I go fell off the wagon again)

Small Cuts - Cutter Not Closing Shapes
Dakotagrafx replied to blownss's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Support Requests
I was the first one to give input. As for your particular situation, I would not know how to troubleshoot because Flexi is out of our scope of support. I am not trained on Flexi, so I would not know what to suggest. I have the cutters we sell on my tech bench every day, and make cut after cut, without issues. When there is an issue I cannot figure out, it usually means a part needs to be replaced. Try different file formats, if you import in .eps and it has a problem, try .ai Also make sure the file is good. Many times a customer complains of bad cuts with SignCut, when it is really an issue with the file being sent to SignCut. Make sure you remove any unnecessary nodes in the file, and that there are no hidden layers. This causes more issues than anything, and it is not a problem with the cutter or software. Everything sounded good until "it is not a problem with the cutter", it most likely is a problem with the cutter. If you go and take that same file and cut it out with FLEXI on a ROLAND, I will give you a 99% chance it will cut correctly. It could be "Make sure you remove any unnecessary nodes in the file, and that there are no hidden layers". This has been another very popular problem that has to do with software/hardware controlling the stepper motors. The good news is in flexi you can over cut: (not sure about the other software): Open Flexi Open a design Select the cut/plot icon Goto Advanced Tab Check Over Cut (.100 usually does the trick) More pot Stirring huh jimmie -

Wasn't getting enough attention on your own thread Jimmie? Time to find a new sandbox! -
seems the pot stirring has not brought out the public outcry that jimmie was looking for . Time to move on Jimmie, better luck on the Toyota site

What software are you using for LaserPoint?
Dakotagrafx replied to Cuttter's topic in LaserPoint Cutting Plotter Discussion
personally I started with signblazer and have forced myself to switch to flexi - more features. It is very hard though once you have learned signblazer to switch you train of thought to flexi as some of the stuff like width and length on the cutting side are just bass ackwards from each other. -
Hey I resemble that remark John

LP24 will not cut all the way through vinyl at times
Dakotagrafx replied to JV's topic in LaserPoint Cutting Plotter Discussion
another tip - I purchased a separate holder just for reflectives/metalics as they are hard on blades and it is much easier than changing settings when you have to change a blade all the time. Heat applied I seldom have to make adjustments -
