xyz, to get the full circle like you want, in step 3, do not include the red circle when you union the brown, green and blue.
Then duplicate the red and do a difference between the red and blue. If you were to slide the blue out a little you should see that it is now the shape you want.
You can now either take the difference between the black and the red, or just leave it as is and when you send it to the cutter cut all 3 colors at the same time.

Was my example post in that thread not the result you were looking for?

You started this conversation in another topic.

Judging from the title of the clip I'm guessing the movie is Five Easy Pieces. ha!

Not sure why you're getting the vertical lines, unless when you pull the file into SB it is closing the object, but what is drawn in Inkscape should cut like you want. That being said, the more reliable way would be to use the union and difference to make all the individual objects a single object. I'm am unable to see the images posted by dcbevins but here is my guess as to what you intended the cut to be along with step by step instructions of how I achieved the look in Inkscape.
*note, just noticed my step 4 is incorrect, it should read difference between black and blue.

I've never understood SPF rating on clothes. I've never gotten a sun burn underneath my clothes.

In your Inkscape drawing, remove the stroke color, and add a fill color, that will give you a better idea of what the plotter will produce. Also viewing in wire frame will show you exactly what the plotter will do.

This is pretty cool. It's basic plotter tech, with the ability to hold fountain pins.

I vaguely recall this being discussed in the past but am not having any luck finding the topic. The only thing I really remember was the suggestion to use Chrome rather than IE, unfortunately that is not an option. Does anyone have a solution to the problem of not being able to paste text/links when posting here when using IE 11.
Or for that matter, does anyone else have this problem, or is it just me? I don't have this problem on other forums I visit, so it's something unique to this one.

The bottom one the vinyl?

Yeah, seems like you're really paying for the ease of use. Has lots of pre-orders so clearly their marketing is doing well.

Buddy just sent me this link.
Looks like a pretty cool system with a seeming very easy to use interface.
There are several videos on YouTube that show off even more capabilities of the thing.

Wildgoose, in regards to the odd sizes of the Chinese cutters. I believe they are measuring the space between the sides, not the actual cutting area. So while you could fit a 28" piece of material in the machine, about 3.5" of that is taken up by the cutter head and about half an inch with the holder so you really can only cut 24" wide material. But advertising it as a 28" cutter sounds better than a 24" cutter.

Use the search function above and put in Chevron Patterned Font

Inkscape is pretty good and free design program. I do most my work in it then copy and paste into SB to do the cut.

xpaperman, the append option in SB is a little check box on the right side of the window when selecting a file to open.

Bit of OCD kicking in on me, is there a reason it's not lined up vertically? Stripes on the decal not lines up with stripes on the car.

Carry bags for chairs?

All of the above statements should have worked. The drag/fill option can be turned off so it could be possible that is the case but the copy/paste option should still have worked.
Personally I would of froze the table at the second line and edited the formula in the H, I , and J column with an if statement so that it appears blank rather than 0. You could also use conditional formatting so that the cells are all white until data is entered into the row. This is all just aesthetics and personal preference though,

Shouldn't need the scraper, if the vinyl is static cling, and they shop is going to remove it for him.
To answer the topic title, "Why would you charge to do this job?" Cause I don't work for free.

Is it just me, or does that second design above look like a goblin peaking over the headboard?

Depending on how elaborate you're wanting, tracing a photo of a real headboard wouldn't be too hard, or get several images and use them as a guide to design you're own.

In Inkscape the dynamic offset will smooth the corners automatically. Not sure how to do it automatically in SB, if it's even an option.
