Whhhyyyyy? My windows pc died and had to buy a new computer on the fly. Not thinking ahead I decided to buy a IMac desktop which I love. I return to my vinyl cutting business after a month vacation and realize that Vinylmaster is not compatible unless running boot camp. Had I known this I wouldn’t have bought a mac... my fault I know..... does anyone know how hard it is to install boot camp and do I need to purchase a windows code to run it?

I'm just being stubborn by not wanting to learn a new software! I had everything set up to just click and cut - It's a good problem to have - I'm grateful the for the cutter and the work. I'll quit my bitchin and suck it up! LOL

Thanks - I will have to look into it - I do have the Graphtec CE6000 and absolutely love it and I have had several cutters and this is by far the cream of the crop! Just wish the Graphtec Pro was available for Mac. Maybe someday! lol

Thanks MZ Skeeter - I could get a cheap computer - I was just trying to mainstream my production time - I could probably cut from illustrator directly - I just had everything set up in VM with the most used designs and their sizes lol - I don't do change well!!! LOL.

Does anyone get good cuts with their Graphtec 6000 and Vinyl Master Pro? I hope someone can help me. I finally bought my Graphtec CE 6000. I was using Vinylmaster pro with a Laserpoint. I have Windows 8.1. I have talked with US cutters last week several times and they deemed that it is the software and not my new cutter. I get good cuts with Graphtec Studio and Illustrator with the Cutting master 3 plug in. The issue is that how I do all of my weekly orders, VInyl master is the most efficient and I like the weeding options better. I have a support ticket in at Vinylmaster but I am still waiting. Bade offset is at 0 Here are some images of the the cuts that I am getting with VInylmaster. I have the language set at GPGL. I sure hope that I have provided enough information. Thank you in advance for any help.

This topic saved the day again after getting a new pc and setting up my Graphtec again! Still love my Graphtec and Vinylmaster after all this time!

No problem - I'm just happy that I got it working and thought if I posted step by step of what I was doing and the messages that I got, it might help someone else if they have the same issue.

I did follow through with the first suggestion, I changed it to HPGL on the machine and that is when I got the error message on my machine that I posted a picture of. I was unaware of needing to change it in the software program too. She then told me to change it in the software too and it fixed my issue, so I DID follow through with her instructions from the very get go. Mz Skeeter - I thank you again for your help!!

I downloaded the driver from graphtec site.... I also went through the VMP wizard to install the driver

Oh and I have uninstalled and reinstalled vmp too.... with a pc restart. Just tryin to tell you all what I have tried.

I get this error message ( changed through the machine menu) I hit enter to confirm and tried to cut and it just said processing, and machine went to ready, but nothing cut and no other messages popped up.

I'm looking at suggestions for a new machine. I currently have the Laserpoint II. I'm looking for something that is faster and quieter and better able to cut smaller detail such as 1/8" to 1/4" lettering. I'm considering the Graphtec CE-6000 Vinyl Cutter but I'm not quite sure yet. I'll be using the Laserpoint II as a backup. But a mishap with the carriage and the belt today really is pushing me forward to upgrade, it's my new excuse and I'm sticking to it . I cut Oracal 631 and 651 for home decor and car decals. I use Adobe Illustrator, Scal Pro, and Make-the-Cut software. I use all three depending on what I am doing. I have a pc specifically to run the cutter. I have no issue with the Laserpoint II, it's a good little machine. It runs 5 days a week from 7 am to about 7 pm. Etsy is very good to me , but if I am going to get another machine, I might as well upgrade. I appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Okay... some more questions for you all. When I purchase this machine (graphtec), I want to make sure that I have the appropriate software too. (1) What is your favorite program? I have MTC , Adobe Illustrator, and SCAL 3 PRO and just updated that to V4 PRO. I'm running a trial of VinylMaster. I am considering Corel. I'm not sure if Scal works with the graphtec or not, but I'm pretty sure MTC does not. So I will be spending some time exporting my files. (2) Is one of the files extensions better than another for exporting and cutting? SVG or EPS or AI. Thanks again for your assistance.
