    Whhhyyyyy? My windows pc died and had to buy a new computer on the fly. Not thinking ahead I decided to buy a IMac desktop which I love. I return to my vinyl cutting business after a month vacation and realize that Vinylmaster is not compatible unless running boot camp. Had I known this I wouldn’t have bought a mac... my fault I know..... 

    does anyone know how hard it is to install boot camp and do I need to purchase a windows code to run it?

    I'm sorry Mz. Skeeter has been telling you to change it to  HP-GL Since her first post why didn't you just read her first comment and follow through? She is very very knowledgeable with the Graphtecs. I know I know frustration over ruled any calm thinking right? been there done that.

     

    I did follow through with the first suggestion, I changed it to HPGL on the machine and that is when I got the error message on my machine that  I posted a picture of. I was unaware of needing to change it in the software program too. She then told me to change it in the software too and it fixed my issue, so I DID follow through with her instructions from the very get go.

    Does anyone get good cuts with their Graphtec 6000 and Vinyl Master Pro?

     

    I hope someone can help me. I finally bought my Graphtec CE 6000.  I was using Vinylmaster pro with a Laserpoint. I have Windows 8.1. I have talked with US cutters last week several times and they deemed that it is the software and not my new cutter. I get good cuts with Graphtec Studio and Illustrator with the Cutting master 3 plug in. The issue is that how I do all of my weekly orders, VInyl master is the most efficient and I like the weeding options better. I have a support ticket in at Vinylmaster but I am still waiting. Bade offset is at 0

     

    Here are some images of the the cuts that I am getting with VInylmaster. I have the language set at GPGL.  I sure hope that I have provided enough information.

    Okay... some more questions for you all. When I purchase this machine (graphtec), I want to make sure that I have the appropriate software too. :)

     

    (1) What is your favorite program? I have MTC , Adobe Illustrator, and SCAL 3 PRO and just updated that to V4 PRO. I'm running a trial of VinylMaster. I am considering Corel. 

     

    I'm not sure if Scal works with the graphtec or not, but I'm pretty sure MTC does not. So I will be spending some time exporting my files. 

     

    (2) Is one of the files extensions better than another for exporting and cutting? SVG or EPS or AI.

    Wow. .. I'm impressed with all the helpful responses! Thanks so much. I have been saving for the graphtec and am so close to being able to purchase I am doing my final research. $1700 is a considerable sum of money but I knew the cost when I first started my research and therefore have planned appropriately.

    My sales for the month of November on etsy reached $8k.. so it pushed my "purchase plan" up a few months :)

    I just wanted to check and make sure that I was purchasing the best machine for my needs.

    My husband will be thrilled that I am finally purchasing the machine so he doesn't have to hear about it anymore :)
