to screen print or not?
liquidfusion replied to absolute_customs's topic in T-Shirts and/ or Garments
bigtracy, after looking at that site I will say it really has me interested. We have been touching on the idea of adding silk screening to our offerings, but this would simplify it greatly. if possible Id love to see an example or two of garments printed from their transfers... Bruce -

Has anyone using the SC had problems with the head jumping the tracks? Ive noticed it rides on two plastic wedge rollers and once in awhile will ride up off the tracks? Is there a tensioner I need to tighten? Bruce

Did you have to do the design work, or did they provide you with a file to work from? Looks great...

For whatever unknown reason I can no longer "LIKE" posts by members, as there were ones above that I cant like enough... From the noob standpoint, I like scalpro, and really like the fact that they are supporting the end users. I have no doubt that long hours are being put in to resolve bugs... As a noob I will say that I like the overall layout and interface, as its very friendly, and straigh forward. I like the fact that you dont need a PhD in NanoPhysics to edit and manipulate things, and get them to cut. Maybe its because Im a noob, but Im in the dark as to why one company prefers to use svg, and another uses eps... Overall, while I was at first frustrated, I am enjoying the software, and at 60 bucks to my door was a no brainer... Like someone said, change is hard, and I know myself as a human,,, if it doesnt plug n play, my next path is frustrated, which is just before I get on the road to step back, and reassess...

Did 8 years US Army, 6 combat deployments and I try to thank every servicemember I come across... Ive got my grandsons in the habit of shaking the hands of military when we are out and about and telling them thanks for doing what they do... Have a happy and safe Veterans day...

In going back over the listing, Im not sure where its listed as "entry level" software. Trust me I do get that for the full retail price, its definitely not high end software to be used in a multi million dollar 3d sign shop, but more for us "schlepp cutters".... Between this program and SCProdPro, I like the X/Y functions, or the ability to dial in the length/width via the cutter icons on scutpro vs the interface on scalpro Bruce

Didnt really know if I should start another thread for this or not... I will say that after the patches, and updates, I have the program working well on both the CoPam and the SC... My experience versus others is limited. I will say that after getting used to a few things, I do like this program quite a bit. I base this against roughly 8 months of using SignCut Pro which was my first ever delve into cutting software. It seems like the interface on scal3pro, and what you can do to manage your workspace on the mat is much greater than what Ive been using. I am having one recurring noticeable problem in that I can import some jpegs, and some I cant. Another thing Im having to revert around to is the use of svg versus eps files.... The trace/edit function works well... very happy with that... All in all now that I have it running hot, straight and normal on my machines, I like it... Theres some features on SCutPro I wish this software had, but who am I to ask for more... Bruce

been asked by a friend who runs a glass and mirror company to start making stencils for their glass etching.... apparently they lay the stencil, apply the paste, let it sit for a spell, wipe, then scrape the stencil after a period... I told him I surmised that the stencil should be low tack but he said the people that had been making them were using a high tack vinyl? So if Im thinking I can stencil out of an economy grade Oracal and use as a stencil? Anyone point me in the right direction? Bruce
