Hey Ken, I need to know whether you have sent the replacement Cutter yet. We have been more than patient with you over the last 4 months (since December we have had Equipment problems). Please respond back via Email, Instant Message, Phone, or any means neccessary to inform us of your furthur action. We have recently been down for over a month and losing customers (and money). I know you are busy...so are we. The RMA# is 65. This is my 'FORUM' attempt to contact you since you will not respond via Instant message. I assume you have our Unit...but cannot confirm. Please, in any way possible, contact us so we can inform our customers when we will be back in business.

Haven't heard from you yet...has the cutter shipped? We've been without a working cutter for almost two months. Really need to get operational again.

When I send Text to the cutter it stops cutting about half way through. I've made sure all text is within the PINK area. Tried different sizes all the way to just 'my name' inside 8.5" x11"..... The cutter just stops cutting while the software is still sending. I have to hit "Cancel" and unplug the USB cable to get the software to respond back. Then restart the cutter cause it says "Waiting". Any Ideas Thanks.

Have you checked yet? Just needing to know.

Hey Ken, have you shipped my replacement cutter yet? It was supposed to go out Friday, Monday at the latest. I haven't heard from you on email and IM....I just need to know a date to expect it. Thanks

I had a burning smell a week ago and my motherboard was fried. got the new motherboard in today...hooked it up and got the burning smell again with a "fading" sound, as if it was losing power, and the display screen started fading out. I unplugged the USB and it powered back up as well as the display screen coming back. I went and bought a USB to serial converter, hooked it up, and it did the burning smell and power/display fade. I unplugged the serial connection and the power and display came back up again. Any ideas? I thought it was a problem with the USB connection, but i have the same problem whether I use the USB or the serial connection.

Well, does this mean that I need a new power supply now?

I've had the cutter for a few months and after alot of initail problems, it's been working great. Now the knife won't move up or down. I'm not sure what to do now...I took it apart and "jiggled" the wires like a previous post for this same problem suggested, but with no luck. I have a job that needs to go out today and I'm in a panic. Any help would be great!

So do you think it could be a problem with the motherboard (it was one you had sent because you were out of stock of the ones you normally use), or could it be something fried in the cutter head?

Not sure. After the burning smell, the motherboard was toast. it had the black blocks on the display wndow. We had an extra motherboard that didn't have the serial port connection, only the USB that you had sent us previously. We put that one in and now the head will not move down.

It had a burning smell and now the cut head will not move DOWN. It will move every other way.

hey crshdumy, First make sure you have not one other USB device cable hooked to the machine (especially not a printer)....unplug everything USB except your USCutter. Always turn the cutter off/on before a large cut to clear whatever memory. If this does not work, you probably need a motherboard. Reply back.

I feel ya pain. Download SignCut-X2. Extremely Cheap (like 15 bucks for 3 months)... Also, download the freeware program Inkscape.....draw your stuff and use the FREE plugin (SignCut website)to import directly into SignCut and CUT!!! Extremely easy. (period)

Watched a YOUTUBE video of cold weather installation using a namebrand application fluid. If that helps. I think it was 20 degrees and snowing.

In SignCut i just had success with 4" tall letters....changed it to 6" letters and it bombed half way...like a memory error. Whats going on.....any ideas? I'm using 15" wide media right now and would like to use 24" media in the future.... seems like i can only cut 4" wide graphics....if its not too long. I'm only typing in text at the moment. :why:

Man i've used every Com port available for this device. Took notes from Jerry from a previous thread to use Com 1 or 2 so it may resolve. Reseated the chip, and sent a very small cut and it works. anything larger than my hand will not work. Whats next ?

Tried at least 5 other USB cables and nothing worked. Settings: Baud=9600 Databits=8 Parity=None Stopbits=1 Handshake/Flowcontrol=Hardware Tried FlowControl = xON xOFF did not work either.

Just installed SignCut X2, I recreated the above attached Text file and tried to cut it. The Cutter stops in the middle of the cut and Says: " WAITING" on the Panel. I then went to the Options of Signcut for the Cutter and the Device which was selected as "USB-Serial Port COM1" is now not even in the list. So, I unplugged the USB from Cutter and re-plugged it and re-opened the Options and "USB-Serial Port COM1" was there once more. Its like it just lost the USB connection in the middle of the cut. The wife is going to get another cable right now to see if thats the problem. Anyone

Original Cable. Sign Blazer Elements. Not hiting Red button. Stops about halfway through sending file to cutter. The progress meter just hangs. The file is only 23KB in size....and I attached it below. Please see if it works. Went to my BIOS and disabled Power Management fully. Did not see anything about "Power management to ports" to disable. It will cut a small 10"x6" text file sometimes (stops on this also)....but the other text file (attached below) is 11"x22" and has never gotten all the way to the end.
