Haven't heard from you yet...has the cutter shipped? We've been without a working cutter for almost two months. Really need to get operational again.

Hey Ken, I need to know whether you have sent the replacement Cutter yet. We have been more than patient with you over the last 4 months (since December we have had Equipment problems). Please respond back via Email, Instant Message, Phone, or any means neccessary to inform us of your furthur action. We have recently been down for over a month and losing customers (and money). I know you are busy...so are we. The RMA# is 65. This is my 'FORUM' attempt to contact you since you will not respond via Instant message. I assume you have our Unit...but cannot confirm. Please, in any way possible, contact us so we can inform our customers when we will be back in business.

Well, does this mean that I need a new power supply now?

I had a burning smell a week ago and my motherboard was fried. got the new motherboard in today...hooked it up and got the burning smell again with a "fading" sound, as if it was losing power, and the display screen started fading out. I unplugged the USB and it powered back up as well as the display screen coming back. I went and bought a USB to serial converter, hooked it up, and it did the burning smell and power/display fade. I unplugged the serial connection and the power and display came back up again. Any ideas? I thought it was a problem with the USB connection, but i have the same problem whether I use the USB or the serial connection.

So do you think it could be a problem with the motherboard (it was one you had sent because you were out of stock of the ones you normally use), or could it be something fried in the cutter head?

Not sure. After the burning smell, the motherboard was toast. it had the black blocks on the display wndow. We had an extra motherboard that didn't have the serial port connection, only the USB that you had sent us previously. We put that one in and now the head will not move down.

It had a burning smell and now the cut head will not move DOWN. It will move every other way.

I've had the cutter for a few months and after alot of initail problems, it's been working great. Now the knife won't move up or down. I'm not sure what to do now...I took it apart and "jiggled" the wires like a previous post for this same problem suggested, but with no luck. I have a job that needs to go out today and I'm in a panic. Any help would be great!

hey crshdumy, First make sure you have not one other USB device cable hooked to the machine (especially not a printer)....unplug everything USB except your USCutter. Always turn the cutter off/on before a large cut to clear whatever memory. If this does not work, you probably need a motherboard. Reply back.

I feel ya pain. Download SignCut-X2. Extremely Cheap (like 15 bucks for 3 months)... Also, download the freeware program Inkscape.....draw your stuff and use the FREE plugin (SignCut website)to import directly into SignCut and CUT!!! Extremely easy. (period)
