Signblazer locks up when sending to cut and wont close, have to reboot
Jay2703 replied to screaminmiata's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Support Requests
I had the same issue with mine. I found it was the USB connection. I switched to the serial connection and have not had a problem since. When mine did lock up, I unplugged the USB connection from the machine and it would unlock. It would not complete the cut though. -
Signblazer software has the ability to import .dxf files.

Check out this post 2006 mustang http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php/topic,3054.0.html

You can combine two polylines together. (Arrange + Combine) Then you can do a Edit Node to join any unclosed polylines. Is that more what you are asking for?
-
Terry, do you use SignBlazer? In the library are a ton of street signs.
-
Give it a name in the upper left corner and make sure the "Selected" box is not checked over on the right hand side. Click the OK box (Use "Selected" if you only want to export selected elements)
-
Yes, you can do a File + Export and save them as .jpg, .tif or .eps.
-
Is the .JPG the file you downloaded or was it an .EPS or .AI file? .JPG's are not vector.
-
Is this the file you are importing? How are you vectorizing the file after you import it?
-
Can you post your file you are cutting so we can look at it?

My daughter says Chandeliers are hot right now. She googled them and I was amazed. They are vinyl "Shadows" of chandeliers that people are applying to walls. http://www.vinylwallart.com/images/chandelier2.jpg http://www.sitedesignnyc.com/murano-chandelier-wall-vinyl.html Take a look. There are a bunch out there.

Do an Arrange + Weld + Total weld. That will get rid of them.
-
The catch is that you have to agree that you are authorized to use them. I think most would agree that personal use (Not for Profit) is OK. Some would say this was not even OK, that you should have written permission from the owner.

I think what Jerry is trying to say is that in SignBlazer Elements the only color you can outline in is black. Once your outline is done you can change the color of the outline to anything you want like Firemalt said. SignBlazer Pro allows you to outline in different colors.

use File + Import.
-
Here, I did it in signblazer Mariah.SBD
-
Select your text and use the Manipulate + Outline function.
-
This is a good one: http://www.dafont.com/search.php?psize=m&q=blazed

Those are cool, Thanks. It looks like there are 3 rows for each style (1. Combination of text and outline. 2. Just the text and 3. just the outline) Top group of three is straight, second group is back slanted for the driver side amd last group is forward slant for the passenger side.

SignBlazer help please
Jay2703 replied to proline20's topic in Creation PCUT Cutting Plotter Support Requests
I tried to open it but nothing showed up either. I could insert it into a word document to see what it looks like. I will usually use Vector Magic to vectorize jpg's and other graphic file types instead of Inkscape. http://vectormagic.stanford.edu/ Go to this site, Browse to the file location, select your file and hit upload. It walks you through some questions (Multiple choice with 2 or 3 options and graphics to explain) about your image that are pretty self explanitory. It will turn your image into a .eps file that you download to your computer. Import it into SignBlazer. Like anything else the cleaner your graphics are going in the better they come out. Give it a try. -
SignBlazer help please
Jay2703 replied to proline20's topic in Creation PCUT Cutting Plotter Support Requests
You typically just do a file + Import and select the Full Postscript option. Post one of the .eps files so we can look at it. -
You can use the Manipulate + Expand/Outline

Here is a place where you can purchase this one: http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup/object/5240117_cougar_growling.php?id=5240117
