You'd use roughly 7 feet of 15" vinyl or 4.5 feet of 24" vinyl... I would image something like that would take about 20 minutes to cut(with a Graphtec ), 10 minutes to weed, 10 minutes for app tape, and 30 minutes to trim. Vinyl cost would be about $0.40sq ft @ 24"x4.5' = 9sq ft x $0.40 = $3.60 App tape cost would be about $0.05sq ft @ 24"x5' = 10sq ft x $0.50 Total material cost = $4.10 Total time = 1 hour 10 minutes Job price = $60.00 minus material cost - $4.10 Total profit = $55.90 But that's David's quote... mine was $200.00

Perfect post!

A person can only do so much... I seriously doubt that David or I will step up the game anymore than we have currently been doing. As John already mentioned, the fact that we are doing this for free in our already limited free time, makes it kind of hard to think about putting even more time into it.

Maybe $0.40 or $0.50 per decal...

Does anyone have the recycle logo vectorized?

If you are using SignBlazer there are a few recycle images in their library too. -
How can I keep my vinyl from unspooling while its cutting?
firemalt replied to Dsigns4U's topic in General discussion
My Graphtec does the same thing if I spool the roller rod through the roll of vinyl, but doesn't if I just set the roll on top. -

If you know how long your cut is going to be, just cut the measured length from the roll. -
Type out the wording in Mircosoft Word as big as possible. On you keyboard hit the "PrtScn" button. Open MS Paint, and paste the clipboard image and save. Open Inkscape, import the newly saved MS paint file, convert/vectorize to eps file. Open SBE, import the newly saved eps file and cut... Not the best way to deal with the issue... but it'll work.

From my experience when ordering stuff from USC, if you login to your account on the homepage(www.uscutter.com) there is shipping & tracking info on the order link.

Best way to lineup vinyl on a CE5000?
firemalt replied to firemalt's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
Sandy, do you have a Graphtec? -
Sandy... if you are using SBE, check the built in library... they have a handful of design similiar to that in there(i think)
-
You could import the eps file into SBE and just change the color or delete certain items of the image to achieve a 1 color image.

LOL... Yeah... you'll be missed around here, especially by 3 moderators!

Dang brad... you go buddy!

Mega... you may want to look into a program called Inkscape which can be downloaded for free at www.inkscape.org It's a great program for vectorizing simply images like you had... and fast, something like you posted would take me about 30 seconds to open the program, import the image, vectorize it, and save it.
