Graphtec CE7000-60 Help
haumana replied to trackingerror1978's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Support Requests
I don't have the CE7000, but I do have a CE6000. My first recommendation is to always pull enough slack on the vinyl so that the machine isn't pulling directly from the roll. So if it's a 36" decal that needs to go through the working cut area of the machine, make sure you load the vinyl straight, and then pull at least 36" worth of slack and let it just hang loosely for the job. Try not to adjust the tension of the pinch rollers, because it can cause the vinyl to jog differently if the tension is different from roller to roller. I'm not exactly sure what's causing the misalignment, however, once it gets misaligned, it looks like it's able to be consistent with it be aligned for the bottom half. If you have the time and vinyl to spare, you can try cutting the entire job in a single color and see if it still misaligns everything. You can also try using a different cutting software to run the job. I personally draw in my own weed lines manually. That ensures I can have the optimal weeding for the way I weed my projects. I also draw in my own "registration" boxes when needing to do multiple colors. Hang in there, it's slight learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it'll be tons of fun. -
SCAL with Laser Point Ii

you can also try to download a different cutting software, they usually have a trial mode, and see if it'll cut properly. just keep in mind that a lot of the trial mode software will cut the design, then add a slash through the design. it's part of trial version and not something that's defective. -

First see if you can reassign the COM Port in Windows Device Manager to something 4 or lower. If you can do that, then make sure the COM Port number matches in the cutting software too. Then you can send a test job to the cutter. It's possible that Win11 did an update of some sort that reassigned the COM Port number. Auto updates in Win11 is problematic for communication to cutters at times. In the previous jobs that you've sent, did they cut well and only now you're experiencing the issue, or were you getting intermittent issue before as well? Just trying to isolate what is actually causing the issue. -

Have you tried swapping out the USB cable? Did Win11 run some kind of auto update? Is this a new setup for you, or have you had this puter/cutter setup, and only now are getting this issue? -
Graphect CE6000-60 PLUS which cable needed?
haumana replied to StotheP's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
I use a standard USB cable. Is this also a different computer than what you were sending the cutting jobs from? How were previously connected to the cutter? If this is a 'new' computer for your cutter, typically the drivers should be installed first, before you plug in the cutter. You should hit up the Graphtec website to grab the latest driver, and instruction on the driver installation if necessary. That should walk you thru the driver download and installtion -
From what I can find when I search for Trajan Pro, it is a serif font. Though I would be concerned about all the squiggly lines happening. You might need to convert the font to lines (or curves), so it's no longer a font, but vector lines.

¿Has intentado cortar el archivo con un software de corte diferente? [Have you tried cutting the file with different cutting software?] -
Any one have recommendations on where to get aluminum sign blanks, preferably white? I'm specifically looking for 18" x 12" x 0.032. 0.040 if 0.032 isn't available. I only have one supplies shop locally, and they are super pricey, so I'm lookin to just pick-up blanks, and keep them in stock myself. Thanks in advance!

iMark software is not calibrating
haumana replied to JACS's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
Win! Thank you for posting your results. The forum is solely supported by it's users and volunteer moderators, and any solution helps to go a long way to helping the next person. -
Welcome to the forum. I'd encourage you to register for an account. It doesn't cost a thing, and you'll be able get your post up immediately instead of waiting for a moderator to review and approve it. Just an FYI - your first two videos are not working. Outside of this particular issue, is your cutter functioning properly? Does the cutter test run as is should? Have you tried just cutting a simple shape and see if that cuts as requested? That blade looks awfully deep.

I would also submit a trouble ticket to Graphtec, because this sounds awfully complex, and I'm not really sure how many members have the F-Mark. -

I would recommend you submit a trouble ticket to US Cutter. If any of the members in the forum can help you, they will definitely chime in, but this issue might be beyond the scope of the forum members, and I do not know how often anyone from US Cutter checks the forum. -

Thank you for getting back to the forum with the new info that you've found out. This forum is supported by volunteers, and moderators and members tend to just pop in a out. We all try our best to answer inquiries, but as you can tell, some of us aren't quite familiar with materials or practices that some people have questions about. Any information and experience shared in this forum is always helpful and appreciated. Hopefully we can be here for any additional questions you might have. -
Honestly, it would really depend on what your client's budget is, as well as the size of the decals they think they will need to cut. Like anything else, the bigger the format the larger the price, but even smaller machines will vary in price. Find out what size graphics they will probably do, and that can be your launching point as to which brands and models to consider.

[Hello everyone, I lost my PC and had Vinylmaster installed. I've already bought a new PC, but when I try to reinstall it, it says it's already on another PC in use. How can I reset my PSN accoutn if I forgot the email to remove it from the other PCs?] I recommend that you contact Vinylmaster directly and let them know your situation. They would be the only one who might be able to help you.

Graphtec CE6000-40 Plus Error E04017
haumana replied to Windrade's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Support Requests
Understood, but since you purchased the machine used, you should check that is functions properly with your setup first. Have you tried just do a test cut, using regular vinyl - no ARMS, just a simple shape. It's als good to see that the cutter is cutting to a correct size (ie. a 3" square, actually measures 3" when it's cut). -

Welcome to the forum! Let's try and add a little more detail to this - What platform are you trying to run the cutter from? (Mac or Windows) What version of operating system are you on? (Windows 10 or 11, Mac Sonoma, etc.) What program are you using to send the job to the cutter? (Graphtec Pro Studio or Grapthtec Studio or a plug-in) Does the cutter work with any other file you're trying to cut, or just when you're trying to set it up for contour cutting? -
I would contact US Cutter directly to see if they can provide that to you. What is happening that your cutter needs the firmware update?

what am i doing wrong with contour cutting laserpoint 3
haumana replied to Prime wraps's topic in LaserPoint Cutting Plotter Discussion
what version of Flexi? (for the Flexi users out there). I know that Flexi said they couldn't help, but the cutter will only do what the cutting software tells it, so if the softwre isn't telling it to scan, then it's not. Hopefully there will be a Flexi user that will chime in. -
VM version? What COM Port number are you using? Have you tried cutting it with a different driver? (ie. Refine MH871, etc.) Was it cutting fine before, and this is a new issue with the same PC & cutter? Have you tried using a different USB cable? When it stalls out, what's happening in the software? Is it freezing up? Are you getting any kind of error?

Laserpoint 3 only cuts a straight line
haumana replied to Prime wraps's topic in LaserPoint Cutting Plotter Discussion
What version is your computer? What verstion of Flexi? How are you connecting to the cutter? Do you have another cutter software that you can try to send a job to the LP3? -
Aloha StanD - I would recommend that you sign up for this forum as a regualr user, so that your posts will go up immediately for everyone to see. Does cost of thing. As for what's happening, have you checked the file to see if there's something a little wonky with the area that it's freaking out at? I'm guessing that it does that in the same place? You might also try scaling the file down and put in some sacrificial vinyl to see if it's still does it. If you're willing, you can also post the file for other members to inspect.

Just know that you'll probably want to turn off your anti-virus before installing it.
