Any chance the business owner knows the font used for the card? Then you'd only need to worry about the graphic. -
LaserPoint Setup Questions
haumana replied to Larryc39's topic in LaserPoint Cutting Plotter Discussion
I think the only adjustment that I played with was the pressure. I have it set to 60 right now. It took a few holes through the backing and some "barely scratched the surface" cuts till I got it right (or what I suppose is right). Either way, it took a little bit of tweaking here and there (mostly adjusting the depth of the blade). I wasn't sure if my eyes were ever going to recover from all that squinting in hopes that it would look a little clearer to me -
:well done: What an excellent idea ... although I've never "needed" the catch bag, it sure comes in handy when a small roll magically jumps off the feed rollers and into the bag. Better the bag than the floor with all the dog hair :- .

the logo looks familiar, what company uses it?

post the logo and I'm sure there will be lots of help. Depending on the program that you're using, some of them have a B&W conversion option. If I need to colorize to B&W, I usually do the clean-up and and then use the paint bucket fill in Adobe PhotoShop. Then it either goes to Vector Magic or if I have time, I'll play with it in Inkscape. Good luck. -
I just recycled an old flat bed sheet. A fitted cover would be nice, but it wasn't a 'make it or break' feature when I decided to buy the LaserPoint.

Attached is a zipped file of the Honey Script font you're looking for. You should check out http://dafont.com - this site a LOT of free fonts and dingbats. honey_script.zip honey_script.zip

My understanding of dingbat fonts are basically fonts that aren't letters - it's pictures/symbols/graphics. I've attached a sample font that is consider a dingbat font. atman_dings.zip atman_dings.zip

It's kind of corny, but a local company will but putting these on some of the their a/c service trucks and vans. Main thing is that the customer is happy, right? Hmm... maybe I should have looked for an "icy" type of font instead. hahahaha.

Just want to know if anyone out there ordered these CDs before, and if they're worth it.

that's awesome.

Tangent question ... If I use the free dingbat "fonts" from dafont.com, are there any copyright issues being as it is a free font? Would it make a difference if I used the dingbats to sell the decals? I know that there are many "royalty free" images and fonts, but are they truly royalty free if you use that product for profit rather than strictly personal use?

$17.49 require 4 AA batteries (not included). I love it ... although I think I'll have to hide it from my nephew, he'd probably want to take it home with him.

I stumbled upon this site while trying to look for the old logo for UH. Thought it was pretty cool, although no luck with the old logo. http://www.logoserver.com/index.html

Yah, I'm looking for the old logo that used to be on the football helmets. It was a caricature of a Hawaiian Warrior carrying a football.

Anyone have simple clipart of wire-haired Dachshunds, schnauzers, labs and keeshonds?

that's perfect! Mahalo. You have a great collection.

I found one ... laugh now, but it's a solution... not to mention a total creativity center. Hahahahaha. I found it while Christmas shopping at K-Mart. You just gotta love it!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Interesting combination.

Just wondering if anyone out there has tried it, and if so, is there any tricks, tips, or advice for a newbie. I love the cutter, but I thought it was a total bonus that it can pen plot too.

Well, if anyone is in need of colors other than red or black, let me know. I'm pretty sure that one of our local office supply store has more than those two colors.

Are China markers the same as grease pencils?

put a little masking tape on the mini-sharpie to fatten it up a bit. if you roll it pretty tight, and the pressure is moderate, I would guess that it should be okay with no slippage. Blue painters tape is my favorite masking tape media ... gotta love the stuff. If I sit around long enough, I come out with a Macgyver solution once in a great while ... not that all of them ever work

That's when eBay comes in handy ... "Mystery box".
