    worst movie?

I saw wanted and left my comments about it in another thread. Bottom line is that I didn't think it was the greatest, but I wouldn't put it on the "worst" list ... there are just sooooo many more movies that belong there ahead of wanted. Knob ... are you a torrent addict too?

    New guy here!

Just an FYI: It's helpful to some of us forum addicts if you post some of your cutter info in your signature (i.e. cutter model; PC or Mac; USB, Serial, or Keyspan; SignBlazer or whatever software, etc.)

    sign blazer help

you probably need to weld it. When you go to the cut screen, how many different colors are there in the left box? If there are multiple, and you only "see" one color for the graphic, then there are other layers that are occurring that can be cleaned up. The quickest way, but not necessarily the recommended way, is to select all the colors in the left box (hold down the CTRL key and select each color), then send to cut. Here's an .eps of a "blank" Calvin peeing ... Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.
  7. It seems that I have x11 installed already - at least it's listed in the Utilities directory. I fire it up, but then I just get a small Xterm window that says "bash-3.2$" and then nothing happens. I've tried starting x11, then starting up Inkscape - nothing happens. I've tried starting up x11 and dropping the inkscape icon from the applications directory to the x11 window - nothing happens. If Inkscape will tell me something or another about x11 and caching fonts, but still nothing happens beyond that. Am I destined to just use the windows partition and run Inkscape via XP? I really want Inkscape to work on the Mac side - I want to see how it performs compared to the windows version. help me please ... I've fallen and I can't get up!

need help downloading inkscape on my mac

I'm trying to install inkscape on my mac too. when i open the application, one of two things with happen - either it tells me something or another about x11 then does nothing, or x11 opens up then does nothing. Please have patience with me. I'm a total newbie to mac and know just about nothing about how they work.

kudos to all of you who have contributed. after reading the original post, there was absolutely no hesitation to do the right thing. could you imagine how much of a better world this would be if everyone is just as giving (financially and non-financially) as this forum is? world peace would be around the corner. It makes me smile to know that aloha is everywhere

    New movie

I saw wanted last week. I have mixed thoughts about it. There was a lot of action, but the plot was a little chunky to me. Angelina kicks butt! Everytime I see one of her movies, I want to run out and kick some @ss . Hahahaha. How can any woman not feel empowered by some of her characters... I mean c'mon - Laura Croft rocks! I even have a "Tomb Raider" gun (HK USP 9mm). If you like action, then big screen would be best. I don't know if it would've been worth the $9 for general admission they charge here, but I had some gift certificates that I used, and that made it totally worth while. I love Angelina Jolie in action flicks, so I'd probably buy it on DVD when it's released, but I don't know if I would splurge for the Blu-Ray. I'd give it two-thumbs up!

please let me know if i overstep my the boundary here, but do the investigators know what the cause of the fire is? so not only did you lose all your personal/sentimental items, but your cutting stuff and all of your gaming systems. ouch. I sent what I could. Hope that little bit helps. Glad to hear that insurance is stepping in pretty quickly.

can some one vectorize to eps

easiest would be to find out what font is used and just use a vector of the logo without the text.
  15. haumana

    Vector help please

can you get your hands on a bigger and cleaner image? It's small and not very clean. Are needing the colors to be preserved too?

    Family Icons????

    PM sent.

    Family Icons????

Does anyone sell similar vector artwork to the family stickers artwork? There are a lot of colored vectored images, but I'm just looking for the one-color stuff so that I can cut it easily.
  18. "base" as in the stand? If the stand was put together properly, then everything should be square and level. If you talking saying the cutting "window" (I don't know the correct terminology) is skewed one way or another, then contact Ken Imes and he'll work on this issue you with you. BTW - to the forum!
  19. So I have this ghetto fabulous couch that I refuse to move into the (not so) new house before it's properly cleaned. What would be the best way to clean a velour couch? (and why isn't the word velour in my spell check dictionary?) No really hard stains in it, just a lot of daily dirt, dust and doggie dander - but it doesn't stink or anything like that. It's just getting the brown tint to it from not be cleaned since getting it (sigh). I swear that I don't live like a pig - the boyfriend used to ... actually still does at times , but I'm trying to circumvent that bad habit by trying to be proactive. After all, it would be wrong of me to try and change his ways now, wouldn't it Do I spray and dab? Do I rent some kind of steam/hot water cleaning machine? Do I just throw a cover on it and pretend like it's not that dirty underneath? Ideally a new couch would be great, but it's not in the budget right now.

dude - so sorry to hear that. that's got to be super, super rough. and the fact that the fire started up again. yikes. at least everyone made it out of the fire, sorry to hear about the cats though. they're family too and that's got to suck badly. i'm not rich by any means, but i'm willing to kick in a few bucks towards a cutter fund for you. PM me your PayPal ID.

best way to clean a couch?

and you're speaking from experience, right?? Just how many tracks have you put on furniture?? Dang, now a moderator is going to move this innocent thread to the mature section (sigh).
  22. glad to be of assistance. you'll find this forum to be really, really helpful ... then really, really addicting. Happy cutting!
  23. Who knows, maybe the sign turned out even better with a little creative juice going down the throat while on the job! Hahahaha. And if that didn't work, then liquor up the owner, they'll think it looks better when they're drunk!
  24. It's almost backwards here. There is no such thing as being too "Hawaiian" here. The true Hawaiians (by ancestry) love to deck out everything they can - decals, flags, tattoos, etc. The "transplants" as we locals call other locals who have moved out of state, tend to play down their degree of "Hawaiian". Maybe it's because tv and movies don't portray the majority of the locals here - just the really, really dumb ones. Than there are locals like me, not a drop of Hawaiian blood, but Hawaiian by heart and if possible, Hawaiian by lifestyle
