  1. Hey guys/gals

Just an update. Received my Graphtec CE 6000 60 and love it. I also today received my replacement carriage and pinch roller with no instructions on how to replace. The pinch roller is simple but really stuck on the carriage head replacement. Can anybody please point me in the right direction on maybe a tutorial or some type of instruction on how to get "ER DONE"

    Thanks.

  2. Hey Gals/Guys

Not sure where to post so I am starting here. I just purchased a Graphtec CE 6000 60 and I'm a little confused on how to go about contour cutting with this machine. I am using CorelDraw X3 & Adobe CS6 and would like to take advantage of the cutting master plugins. Can anyone point me in the right direction for tutorials on this it would greatly be appreciated. Thanking you in advance,

    Tomas

  3. Hi Guys n Gals

Its been awhile. Just want to update everybody. My laserpoint 1 broke down during a customer order yesterday. Not sure how it happened but the accuracy was slowly declining the more I used it. Upon further inspection I noticed two things a) cracked pinch roller arm B) carriage cracked. I contacted UsCutter support and they told me they don't have any replacement carriage in stock and not sure if they could source one. Wow just purchased this unit 3 years ago and already no parts. I was extremely disappointed. Uscutter has been eazy to deal with in past but I don't think and feel they would've come thru for me in the period of time I had to work with. So I finally bit the bullet and purchased a Graphtec CE6000 60. Unfortunately not from UScutter. I chose to purchase local since I'm from Canada. Having this issue I have lost a little confidence in parts support from UScutter but don't have anything else bad to say. I will if I can continue to send any business there way if time permits.

  4. Just want to give an update on this....

I decided to give UScutter support a call. I was fortunate to talk to a True gentlemen. His name was Mike. Mike took the time and had patience to help me with the problem from beginning to end. It turns out to be a problem with the newer versions of Signcut. The newer versions have a glitch/code error with jogging the head during any contour cuttings, just won't respond to align registration marks. So we uninstalled Signcut (new version) and reinstall the older version and......BAM! we're back in action

Very Very and I must say Very HAPPY!

Thank You Mike and Thank You USCUTTER for having a AWESOME SUPPORT TEAM

  5. Hello

Its been some time since I have had the patience to try contour cutting again. I now have an issue where I'm trying to calibrate laser offset and the cuthead does not move at all. I have tried unplugging , power off/on , red button reset and still nothing. I am using Windows 7 with serial connection. I tried it with Signcut a d SureCutsAlot and same issue with both.

    Any Ideas? Please chime in.

    Thanks

    Tomas

  6. I too love my LP24. But for contour cuts I have had my share of headaches as well. I have ccontour cut successfully with Signblazer only after severe headaches and trouble and with Signcut with better success with only minor trouble. For me when I had seen contour cut capability advertised at that price! It was like WOW what a deal. For straight out cutting its awesome. On another note UsCutter has always been easy to deal with and great customer service but I wish contour cutting with the LP24 would be more consistent.

  7. I have been cutting lately with it and no issues...........UNTIL I tried the print cut (contour cut)

and it does nothing, can't calibrate laser or even if I pass on that and try to cut the cutter wont move to any of the reg marks, the display on my Laserpoint shows 'waiting'. I have contacted Craftedge and they responded with "did you install the latest virtual port adapter?"

I responded with "why would I need that if I am running serial?" The response to that was try running it USB !

What USB well then thats when my head started hurting again (SBE flashbacks lol) . Ohh and welcome back Ash , I know use a keyspan adapter :)

Any way to make a longer story even longer......isn't serial a much better connection for the cutter than usb?

  8. Even if you use it just to CUT...compare the price to a lifetime license( $348) or yearly license($98) of SignCut.

Bang and you hit the nail on the head , since most design in others programs like Corel X? etc. etc. and export or send to cutter programs like SignCut. This program is a good fit and will grow , but we can't make everyone happy ( impossible task beleive me I have tried) moving forward keep up the goodwork USCutter/Craft Edge team.

    Im sticking around!

  9. I too have not had any problems with SCAL pro. I use Corel X4 for my design then sent that to SCAL via the plugin. Then cut it with my MH 721 and everything has been working fine. I also have to agree with Jaybird the cuts are a lot cleaner than with SignCut. One change I would like to see is in the cut screen. When cutting by color when you click on the color to cut the preview would show just that color similar to SignCut.

Sorry for the newbie question but where did you find the corel plug in and how did you install it?

    Thanking you in advance.
