    cutting fluro with sc cutter

Same blade as regular vinyl, up the pressure double normal most likely

question " Printing the negitive "

I would think one would be able to take an exacto, and scratch that little line off carefully- light will then not be blocked by it when you expose your screen and maybe not effect the emulsion...

What cutter is best for me

My old laserpoint would cut very very small text, you just have to be VERY accurate with your blade, pressure and offset settings- be prepared to spend some time learning to set up your maching for cuts using different vinyls, colors etc. Each color, and even rolls of the same color can require very very minor tweaks in pressure and blade depth.

    hey trying to upgrade

I too mirror the graphtec recommendation... You can use flexi with the graphtec... cutmaster2 and corel are just additional options....

    Vinyl on Gym Floor

631 and 651 both work great for this use... cheap. Also have used scrap Greenstar in the past. Hesitant on finished wood though, unless it's very strong.

getting Cdr X3 and cutting master 2 to work together

I did- BUT- it was the version that came WITH my CE5000....

corel draw x4 not connecting to creation ct1200 plotter

There isn't a way with that cutter unless you buy something like SignTools3 or 4- which allows cutting from corel on about any cutter. Otherwise Graphtec and Roland have specialised plugins that allow cutting from corel.

Used graphtec with problem, worth it?

You can buy a new screen etc. for it.... Just call up graphtec. I ordered an LCD for my FC7000 - was like 102$- BUT- it's a 4 line display versus the 2 that the CE5000 has.
  11. Back the truck up a second here Not cutting that size doesn't make sense- I know... BUT- You have to eliminate ALL possibilities when you're troubleshooting. It still could be the file, could be a cutter memory issue, and it could be that it is needing to be spooled in pieces versus just dumped to the cutter. Say I have a graphic with 1,000 nodes- 22x14. If I expand that to say, 500% - I still have 1,000 nodes, but their more spread out now- the file size goes from about 2.93mb to over 8mb.... Could be that the file, in that size, has too many nodes for the cutter to handle all at once, and the software needs to spool it a little at a time- OR the other thing I found a lot of the time with my old Laserpoint 24- It could cut faster than it could receive... so once it ran out of nodes to cut, even though they were still coming it would go crazy and do dumb things. Things to try- - Slow down your cutter - this can also effect tracking and placement of weeding lines and letters. - Check or don't check "Use Spooler" under the cutter settings in SignCut - Try that Keyspan device you have coming.... - Try cutting without your blade in, and also use a pen tool on paper to see if you have the same issue- Static can cause goofy mess as well.... - Before perfoming large cuts, shut the cutter off completely to clear out it's buffer, this helps as well on machines with less memory. - They also make a memory upgrade for the MH series cutters- Seems to be that this fixes a lot of problems with this machine as well.

Used graphtec with problem, worth it?

I think a new main board for a CE5000 is like 650$ - so it could cost a lot to fix even if it is easy. Also, if it doesn't have the original box- don't plan on shipping it to graphtec because they won't off any warranty unless you buy an obscenely expensive original packing box/crate (400 some $$) BUT- Graphtec is great to work with, they will sell and ship you parts and did nicely for my FC7000 that FedEx BROKE.

    Last Nissan of this Saturday...

what did you use to design that half wrap??

I am looking to expand asap

If flexi 8 is the pro version, I believe you can contour cut using that software on any cutter, you just use the blade as your registration positioning tool. I am not sure how it works but hear that it does!

what transfer tape for oracal 651?

Looks nice- No, the SPLASH fluid is an 8oz bottle that mixes with a gallon of water you provide... makes it small to ship, so you will want to order it with other supplies from USCutter... http://www.uscutter.com/SPLASH-Concentrated-Application-Fluid-8-oz-CLSSPL8OZ Get yourself some of this too- I LOVE it- for removing adhesive.... http://www.uscutter.com/Orange-Peel-Adhesive-Remover-GAPSAR409

what transfer tape for oracal 651?

I personally use the SPLASH! application fluid USCutter sells- I like it as much as rapid tac2. Rapid tac is about 30$/gal whereas the splash is only 12$.... The other option is, if you search there are several homebrew options... but I haven't liked them as much.

    cutting picts

The images you're using are probably on .jpg or .bmp / .png files- They MUST be vector format images before they will export and cut.

Can you compare your experience to any other cutters or equipment in your past?

    Oracal 651 matte black issues

Matte vinyls often are tougher as the vinyls don't have a smooth finish for the tape to stick to. #tapetosandpaper.... whereas gloss vinyl.... #tapetoglass... squeegee VERY hard from the back and this will help make it a little easier... Skeeter- I am going to pm you as well tomorrow.

what transfer tape for oracal 651?

I use rtape 4075rla myself. You can just use your Rtape and then just lay a couple strips. I would install wet, and squeegee WELL- then wet the paper tape to peel off.

    Error Graphtec GX3000

I don't think you can just send a print command to that printer... I think you have to have actual RIP software and even the newest graphtec cutters will not work with Corel X6 with Cutting Master
  23. I started with a laserpoint- was a decent machine until I needed a cut strip which I ended up paying through the nose for when I finally broke down to buy one since USCutter has been out of stock on them for over a year now. I started saving for a graphtec and upgraded so I didn't have to go through the headache again.

    Small Printer

Visit Richard over at cobra inks.... http://www.cobraink.com/ Mine has been running strong over a year and a half, plus the bulk ink saves for tons of printing. Works great for general office use as well.
