got myself a 24" graphtec - laptop decal

Wow, those look good. Haven't tried cutting something so detailed (small in size too) with my Roland yet. I should give it a try now.

    T-shirt experiment

Wow this thread was fun to read. It makes me want to try it. Wonder if it would work with a regular spray bottle, see what kind of effect it will give.

    Training video

    cool vid.
  5. I've been playing with the Cobra Inks that I received but it seems like the Reds either turn brown-ish or Orange-ish. Funny though, because it shifts colors on the screen when I'm in Corel Draw. But when i do something in Photoshop or AI it actually shows the reds as they are. PS and AI reds look more orange or brown. ?? Anyone else having problems? Could it be the ICC profiles i installed?

Anyone else having some color shifting?

Ill try that when i get home. But it's weird that if i copy a pic, from lets say google images, that has red in it and paste it to corel draw the reds shift to either brow-ish or orange-ish color. But if i paste that same pic to PS or AI the reds stay red??? Weird.
  9. wait wait. i understand the idea, but that is not a square inch. a square inch would be multiplying the width by the height. 12" X 24" = 288". then multiplying 288 X .55 = $158.40. your method actually makes more sense, but i just wanted to make sure that its understood so there isn't confusion. what you're proposing is more like by the linear inch. i've seen a fair number of people on here choose to charge by the square inch, which is basically the same idea, but you'd have to adjust your price per square inch... lets say 12" x 24" = 288 in^2. 288 x $.07 = $20.16. i don't mean to be condescending, i just wanted to clarify so when someone read it and went to do their own pricing it would make sense Also when a customer is reading your website and they see $.55 per square inch they don't flip out because they wanted a 12" x 24" decal that is going to cost them $158! That's the same way i see it too (12"X24"= 288 sq.in.)

That looks really good. I've never done a banner before. How do you align everything (or what method do you use?) for it to come out so well?

Has anyone tried the etching liquid or cream to etch other materials besides glass? Maybe on some marble, granite or porcelain?

    Just Ordered my Cobra Inks!!!

Yeah, Richard was great. He created a "Combo Pack" and called me back with a quote in less than 5 minutes. Might end up getting a second set for my WF 610. No, the inks are not only for t-shirts. Check out the website that Speedoggy posted for more info on the inks.

    Help with cutting table?

I think it might be better to just go to the store and buy one because I just read a description of an OLFA self healing mat http://www.olfa.com/MatsDetail.aspx?C=10&Id=85 and it says to store flat. Check ou the description, that's the one I use.

    GraphTec offset problems

BTW, my Roland had the "TEST" button to cut some test cuts and those wouldn't come out right before I made those changes. Does the Graphtec do "TEST" cuts, if it does, do they come out good?

    GraphTec offset problems

I had the same issue when I first got my Roland GX-400. I talked to CS and they said it would be the offset and/or blades. So I bought some CleanCut blades and played around with the offset settings. So far I haven't had that issue anymore. I changed the offset from the cutter.

Should I buy an Epson workforce 325?

I was reading the specs on it and it looks like it only takes up to 8.5x11. what do you mean when you say the scanner would get in my way?
