  1. Update! Since we're in Hawai'i, Graphtec recommended that we check with a local authorized repair shop rather than send the whole thing to continental US. We called up the recommended shop and after hearing of our issue asked, "when did you last replace the plunger?" They noted that those can stop working, preventing the blade from spinning/rotating. We ordered a new plunger from them and we're back in business! We finished out the 15mil synthetic job and are getting through the 10mil job as I write this. The old plunger has been marked and is still good enough for most of our paper jobs. I did let the boss know about the other blades you folks recommended. Thank you
  2. Well, we're a small company. I wouldn't know what to do with a 3d printer, honestly. I'll try the tape at some point or see if I can make an insert somehow. We might just try ordering straight from GraphtecUK. At worst I've got cousins there in Ol' Blighty.
  3. Arg. Our distributor says they don't have Graphtec UK available as a vendor
  4. The boss had me contact the UK Graphtec and we've also emailed our distributor. I'll keep your suggestions in mind if we can't get them or find alternatives. I've not prayed to Saint MacGyver, the great and holy Richard Dean Anderson in a while, so we'll try these leads first.
  5. We were told that those aren't being carried anymore and the orange was the replacement for F-Mark 1 and 2 from here on out by Graphtec US. Hrm. That is a bit frustrating. I wonder if they'll sell to the US or not?
  6. Our Graphtec came with an F-Mark 1 which has been working very well for us. We ordered more suckers because one set finally wore out, but what we got is quite different than before! They're bright orange suckers with a bigger suction hole made from a stiffer material. Much wider. We find that using these newer sucker feet is great on synthetic papers and such. However, they're really not good for regular paper stocks as they pull too many sheets at once. That's even after I've adjusted suction as low as I can get it. Where can I find the old suckers? Or the equivalent to them? We don't really know what they are or how to describe the specs to help our searches!
  7. Gotcha, thank you! I'm just calling it what the boss has been calling it. I've finally got a hold of Ricardo at Graphtec. He's thinking "it might be an issue with the Pen Block or the Driver for the Pen Block which is located on the Main Board of the CE6000-40 Plus." so that's what we're investigating now. Oh? I'll have to look into those, thank you :)
  8. I know, but it's never dulled it THIS fast before. We've had our machine for a few years and this is a fairly routine job for us.
  9. Hello! We've got a job where we were die-cutting and halfway through it stopped cutting through the paper. Yesterday we tried adjusting blade depth but that didn't work. Blade looked dull so we replaced blade with a new, sharp one. It worked for a little while then stopped cutting through. Checked the new blade and it was quite dulled out. Today we tried another new blade, scaled back the blade depth and pressure, and while it took us the equivalent of 9 passes it started working again. Started up again aaaand... it stopped once more. The new blade also went down by 2 points. Not sure what's going on - we're not doing anything differently than before. We are using the CB15U blades like we've done for years. We've diecut jobs on 15 point sythentic, laminated 10 point synthetic, 130# Cover, all the way down to 67# Bristol. We've had our Graphtec for a few years and normally it's been a real champ. We've contacted service but so far haven't heard back yet.
