TT57 135 Posted December 9, 2014 HEY ALL,. Question, i am trying to help a friend with his cutter that he has had and NEVER used now doesn't have the cables. I have a 9 pin that will fit but he needs something to be able to connect to his computer. It doesn't have a USB end so he needs what ? to hook to it then to the computer. make sense? slice&dice 2,450 Posted December 9, 2014 Make sure your DB9 serial cable is a NULL MODEM type. If he has a laptop without a serial port, but it has a PCMCIA card slot (on the side), it's possible to insert a serial card that will allow the connection with the DB9 cable. I did that with a Dell laptop.
