SC series cutting issues

Recommended Posts

Hello. I recently purchased my cutter and it has been working good after working a few bugs out with settings. The new thing it is doing now is about half way through a 50" cut of different designs it skipped about a 10" section and cut a diagonal line from right to left. Has anyone had this problem before?

this is why  it has been said a zillion times on here,,put your cutter on a serial connection  or a Keyspan Adapter, that is the brand name.   Or a Belkin,  Not a Radio, Shack Best Buy etc.   These are the ones that are recommended.by USCUTTER techs support.   Others will not work.   I am guessing you are on USB connection.?   Also make sure your cutter is grounded to the stand, if you have one.  Using dryer sheets in vinyl rolls as well as wiping your vinyl can help for static. Also Spraying Static Guard.

I am on serial connection, but it's not of the brand names you mentioned. I will pick up what you recommended and ground my stand. Thanks for the help.

usually that one is out of memory or static - my guess is a keyspan or desktop with a serial port will help immensely
