Well at least the college gave them a decent exit plan.....No legal expense.....No damages....And they can sell existing stock.....A "mega corporation" would not have been so generous.....

the funny part is..they just spent $4.5 million on a new stadium...with artificial turf....with the logo right on the 50 yard line. And also on the $500,000 scoreboard.

I've always wondered why this hasn't happened to more schools. In my area, there is a blatant Patriots logo ripoff as well as an Eagles ripoff (albeit with the colors changed). And why the hell does University of GA have the exact same logo as the Packers? That one has always baffled me.

Purdue is rumored to currently be taking similar action against one of our small local public high schools that has used a character with similarities to the Boilermaker for the past 40+ years. Had this supposed violation been hidden from them, I could have a better understanding of their current positione, This has in fact been in the public eye within 100 miles in the same state. Has me wondering if this isn't being pushed nationwide by the NCAA.
