Well ash how much would you have had to put in out of your pocket for 10 years of Dialysis and then a subsequent kidney transfer?...For our family we paid nothing....Or would your insurer found a way to cancel you or drastically increase your premiums....In Canada your health-care coverage can not be canceled...

It is really easy to pick out little bits and pieces that justify your argument but when you look at the big picture many Americans are far worse off than Canadians....

US needs health care !!! change is not always good !!! Something this important should not be done like it was . A major amount of paperwork given to the key people the night before the vote , not the way the government is suppoded to work . The in fighting between the parties almost eliminate the possibility to do something good & do it directly . I was for national health care when Clinton used it as a campaining issue & promised it how many years ago ? ( 18  ) . Sometimes undoing things legally is harder than doing them , so care & intelligence should be taken , instead of ramming it thru like what was tried . Senate hearings are a pain, but lets the public know whats going on & lets many different perspectives be considered . " fools rush in where wise men dare to thread " .

forced healthcare is not the answer, if it was such a great deal Obama wouldn't have had to slide it through, this is OUR country we have a right to decide, or should i say the ones that pay for it have a right to decide - keep sticking your hands in my pockets you might find more than just cash in there!

bayotle there are many problems if there is not a large enough pool for insurers.....If you do not force folks to join in, they will opt-out when they are young and healthy and then try to opt-in when they are old and ill....At that point insurers will not take them and if they do not qualify for a government plan they are left with no ability to get insurance...

You are wasting your time Roxanne...they don't have a CLUE how it works, and are not smart enough to realize how badly off we are here.
