    Overlapping Cuts

We are having an issue where the art looks fine in Flexi. Cut lines look good and where they are supposed to be. Then the Summa overlaps two letters. Does the first 3 just fine. Then it's like the knife doesn't move over far enough and cuts the 4th letter on top of the 3rd. Any suggestions? Is it a setting issue? We haven't had this issue before so we have no clue how to trouble shoot it. Thanks! Sharon

    Signblazer with Summa cutter

Not sure if there was a thread already I tried to search but didn't see what I need. I have sign blazer elements which ive been using for 2+ years now with my uscutter plotter. I have a Summa d60 as a backup and I have the choice to choose that cutter under the Setup in signblazer. I can not get it to cut from signblazer using a usb cord. It acts like the cutter is not attached to the computer. I did download the software from Summa to use with CorelDraw which I can get to cut but I am unable to tell CorelDraw what my vinyl workspace is .

    SignCut Pro vs MacSign?

Hello, I want to upgrade my Graphtec CE6000-60 to a Graphtec FC8600-100 or SummaCut D120 or Summa S2 D120. As a Mac OS X user and not using Illustrator, since there are now better options, like InkSpace, Affinity Designer, Graphic from AutoDesk. I'm looking for opinions from users using SignCut Pro or MacSign. Thanks.
  5. Hey All, Looking for feedback (good or bad) on the Gerber FX and Summa DC5sx. Have a really old Gerber Edge and a Graphtec ce6000-40, looking to upgrade to a new thermal printer, and the DC5sx looks pretty nice, however I've never used Summa equipment. I like the idea of print and cut, as don't do large banners or anything, and having a 30" would save a lot of panel work for the wife. Also thinking of just upgrading to the Edge FX, but to be honest, I'm not sure Gerber is committed to the hardware market and hasn't really done anything innovative in a bit. Like the thermal's because they are easy, can be used in home office without fuss, and they last on outdoor vinyl without having to go through a lamination process. Open to other suggestions/efficiency feedback too. Fairly new to this space, purchased old equipment to get going and now looking to upgrade. Thanks, Tom
  6. Hi All, Hope someone may be able to advise. I'm looking for a vinyl cutter that will also cut CARD, ideally 350gsm weight and above. Looked everywhere but cannot get clarification on this. Have seen YouTube video showing GCC Expert or Puma cutting card, but no info as to what weight the card was. I understand that a carrier sheet will be required and the pinch roller pressure good to keep traction of the material. Has anyone ever cut card on their cutter..? Any suggestion/advice welcomed. Thanks, Matt.
