    horrible experience

I've new and spent MANY hours trying to learn from this forum before I ask TOO many questions....But I kinda HATE it and think it's in bad taste to the people that have helped them, NOT to come back and say HOW they solved the problem !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tyamp didn't give anyone here any specifics of what was wrong, whether she took a lot of advice on what to do and didn't tell us if he/she got the same cutter, a different one, if USC gave her credit for her old one, etc. etc. etc. No respect to everyone that tried to help her, much less for those newbies who want to learn Someone slap me if I EVER do this to you guys and girls !!!!!!!!! Oh, btw, I'm sure all of you who help are as frustrated (pun intended ) as much as I am of this, but you STILL continue to help !!!!!!!! MUCH MAHALOS !!!!!!!

    US Cutter Grommet Press

dakotagrafx, thanks a lot, but I think I'll pass. I'll save up for a Baby Blue like you have I DO like the idea of doing the grommets from the front. I've done them in light carpet with a hammer, don't think I'd like doing it "backwards". Appreciate the offer though !!! FH

    US Cutter Grommet Press

BAHAHAHAHA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't want to do a smiley...just see what you would say !!! How used is it?? Just checked the USC shipping if I were to ship the Big Mouth here. They say it'll cost me $75 I know a Large Flat Rate box only cost $16 to ship here (or around that). Will it fit in a flat rate box?

Since this thread is a sticky, I wanted to bump it up again. John, all the links that were on here for the grommet press don't work anymore. Can you show us which press you were originally talking about? (Hope you're still here!). Thanks !! I have a lot more questions, but I'll do a few hours of searching 1st before I p off any of the old-timers !!! FH

Bridge Cutting Plotter (new to me) HELP

So as far as the eBay's "WHOLE PACKAGE" thing is concerned, I'm assuming that IS the best to get? Sorry if I"m running around in circles, but I REALLY can't afford to make a mistake! Ran out of stuff to sell to get me this money and I REALLY need to know if I buy the package deal, it'll be fine. Thanks everyone.... FH

    I'm here to help!

Thanks Jaybird Dawn, lot of people think that. They move here, and between 1-5 years, they move back home = too expensive to live. My wife and I live "VERY" moderately...There ARE a LOT of rich people among a LOT of people poorer than me. But, that's the same everywhere else. Visiting a friend in North Carolina and my in-laws in Florida (it was work-related at the time, so THEY paid !!!), 3 or 4 bedroom houses with good sized yards were between $180,000 to $350,000. Over here, they would have costed 3x that. My dad's bought their house (single-walled construction) in 1963 for $19,000. Now the government is taxing what they estimate the same house is worth $700,000. Yeah...right!!! My mother always said "We pay for the weather". Sorry for the hijack FH

    I'm here to help!

I'm one of the newbies...yeah yeah yeah....Probably spent at LEAST 30 hours reading this forum whether I was signed in or out. I found out that that the T-shirt forum is a good place for info, but they seem to really push the more expensive machines, not enough accurate feedback on the cheaper machines that USC sells. They mention that USC has a BBB rating of "F". But looked like there were only 7 reviewers that reviewed it. I'm with another forum on kayak fishing, and this format is close to what I'm used to So my $$$ is VERY limited, so I have to go on the cheaper side for now. All the help I've been getting has been FANTASTIC !!!!!! Well, until now...Now I'm just confused of what to do (see my latest post under Introductions). Jesse, thanks for joining the forum, hope you can help the others with a (old) newb like me Aloha, Fustrated In Hawaii (yes, I realized later I spelled Fustrated wrong, but oh well, too late )

Bridge Cutting Plotter (new to me) HELP

OH WTH??!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS SKEETER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, I'm freaking out.....Looking at the shipping, it said $179 to "United States" (I entered my zip, price didn't change). Then I checked out US CUTTER: 1) The LaserPoint II 25" is $559 (with $100 stand and extra 1 year warranty = Total 2 year warranty) 2) The LaserPoint II 31.5: is $659 (with $200 stand and extra 1 year warranty = Total 2 year warranty) Why is the stand $100 MORE ? ? 3) Shipping for the 25" is $350 and SHIPPING FOR THE 31.5" is only $216 !!!!! WHY IS THE BIGGER ONE CHEAPER TO SHIP??!! **US CUTTER through eBay ONLY offers the normal 1 year warranty, but no option to buy the EXTRA year TOTAL FOR THE 31.5" (with shipping) is: $875 eBay: 1) LaserPoint II 31.5" is $450 2) Shipping $179 TOTAL (with shipping) is $629 **bummed that I can't buy an extra warranty THAT MAKES IT $246 CHEAPER ON eBay!!!!!!!!!!!! (I've looke on eBay from time to time, never registered or bought anything, and I don't have PayPal)!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, my main concern is the warranty, in case something should break down. So...what do I do??!!! Call US CUTTER and ask them if I can get 2 years warranty if I buy it from eBay? AND get the same shipping price??!!! D@MN......what the heck do I do !!!!!!!!!!!!! ok..I'll stop ranting Thanks again Skeeter ******Ugh oh...on eBay, I just typed in the search bar: "Vinyl Cutter". 3rd one down, they have for $549.99, the LaserPoint II with a HUGE package included (see description). Shipping was $239 TOTAL: $778 (but still no 2 year warranty) PLEASE look at the description of what comes with the package and tell me if this is a great deal. I don't know about the Green Star vinyl if it's as good as the Oracle that everyone likes.... what the HECK DO I DO NOW !!!!!!!!

Buy A Keyspan When You Order

younameitvc, since you called Skeeter an _____, I'd watch myself...numerous times they told you what to get and you didn't, so she slapped your hand. SO WHAT??!!!!!! Dakotagrafx, Skeeter, Wild Goose and the others with CHOKE experience DO HAVE THE PATIENCE TO ANSWER YOU!!!! I was asking a LOT of questions AFTER spending 20 hours on the forum and STILL couldn't find an answer! I'm sure it was there, but I gave up. These people were nice enough to answer me anyway. I've been kayak fishing for the past 4 years. Come to OUR forum!!!! Asking newbie questions? You'll probably try like hell to report us to the BBB for being "mean to you." Now, if you act like that again, I"m sure these people won't slap your hand any harder, they'll just ignore you !!! So....I am TOTALLY new at this, and I just KNOW I'm going to p!ss off some of the guys and girls here by asking (to them) stupid questions. But I'll take ANY hit they give me, as long as they help me!!! I'm about to order a LP2 from US Cutter in 2 days. Gonna cry, but hey, nobody will see me So take a pill, chill, pray like I do, or be one with the Universe, or whatever....and all will be good FH OUT !!!!!! Oh, btw, when I was posting a few months ago, I was told on the forum NOT to buy anything from Best Buy or the other box stores. Just buy it off eBay like the links they had provided and the 2 brands....

Bridge Cutting Plotter (new to me) HELP

Thanks Wild Goose !!! I spent a few hours, up to 3:30am last night looking at youtube and other reviews. Seems like I need $900 - $1,200 for a good heat press. Ok, I think I'll wait on the t-shirts until I make money with the vinyl stickers first. For now, I'll just concentrate on the vinyl stickers and how to use the software programs. Oh, btw, I asked my wife and she DOES have a 22"x35" OLFA cutting mat !!!!!!!!!!!! So...I think I'll order the 1) US CUTTER Laser Point II (only because I like the countour feature the SC doesn't have) 2) Hi-tack paper transfer tape 3) 3M squeegees 4) Glossy Black Vinyl Wild Goose, you mentioned earlier, that the LP2 has limitations if I want to go real small, but if my friend's Cricut machine can do what I want for now, wouldn't the LP2 be even better for that?? I want to start by doing fish vinyl stickers that are 3" long with a lot of detail in them. Appreciate your advice (although I'm little leary, 'cause your signature DOES scare me !!!!). OUCH!!!! JUST FOUND OUT THE SHIPPING FOR THE LP2 WILL COST ME $350 !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Know of any coupons available??!!!!!

Bridge Cutting Plotter (new to me) HELP

Thanks you two !!!!!!!!!!! I think I appreciate the feedback. Glad to hear the Titan's has issues, save me some money !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The more I look at stuff, that $1,000 isn't going to go very far I can't really see myself getting the starter kit, because I'm not needing any color except for glossy black for now (famous last words, I know.... ) So, what do I REALLY NEED?? 1) Heat Press Machine for T-shirts: A) Brand? Size? (I hear the 15x15 is too small, but how big do I really have to go to do a XXXL comfortably?? 2) X-acto Blade = got one 3) Cutting Mat? How big do I need one? and like I said above, what do I REALLY NEED? Thank you in advance FH

Bridge Cutting Plotter (new to me) HELP

Ok everyone, I'm back. I'm so p!!sed at this machine, I can't find help enough on it that'll do me any good. So....I sold some stuff and the past few months, saved up $1,000. I figure I better get a newer machine, and one that more people like you are more knowledgeable about. I want to do vinyl lettering, graphics (later as I learn more) and t-shirts (looking at a lot of forums about my machine, it seems like t-shirts are a great money-maker also). So, with my limited budget and have only seeing my friend's cricut machine, I'm wondering to do smaller graphics (3" vinyl detailed pics of fish such as Wahoo), what should I get? A MH 28", a SC 25", or a TITAN 1,2 or 3. I want to start asap, but want your people's opinions 1st. Is it worth the extra money I'll have to save up more? I know the Graphtec is WAYYY out of the question now, so please, be nice !!! I just noticed the "specials." In the boatload section, they have the Titan 2 for $995. How much worth it is the Titan 3?? It boasts contour cutting, but does it really? Is this THAT important for me?? If you recommend the Titan 3, then I could only afford the 15" model for now I'd like to get a heat press at the same time, and I saw a lot of comments, not to get the small one, but at least a 15x19 clamshell. They have it in the boatload section for $299.99.9999999 Thanks again for your patience and understanding Aloha, FH

Bridge Cutting Plotter (new to me) HELP

Skeeter, Much Mahalos !!!! I downloaded Inkscape tonight and also Signblazer last night. About the Keyspan adaptor....usb to computer end....yeesh...I forgot about that Do you think that would be better than usb on both the computer to the vinyl cutter?? The one you just had a link to on eBay...why don't I buy that one? You say to search, but I wouldn't know what to look for in that adaptor, unless you mean to search on the forum to see if someone likes another kind of Keyspan adaptor ?? Thanks again, FH

Bridge Cutting Plotter (new to me) HELP

Hi Jay, Ok, FINALLY found my model and manual online. But it won't let me copy and paste the photos like you did, I can't even copy and past the darn URL So, I'll write out the URL by hand My computer is the ET2411 http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/DigitalHome/DAV/ET2411/manual_E7102_ET2411.pdf Pages 17-20 show all the ports and stuff I have. You spoke of that "Keyspan Adaptor", but I see a LOT of negative comments about that thing not working!!! Either way, don't matter, as I don't have a serial port

Bridge Cutting Plotter (new to me) HELP

Jay2703, No, it doesn't look like that When I can find an image later tonight, I'll post it up. Dakota, 1) I went through that link/tutorial, and got confused at a lot of it. Maybe it's me (NO...REALLY????) or since my disks don't seem to work, that's why it makes it that much harder for me to do what the tutorial says. Is there an aftermarket version of some cd that will work with this cutter/plotter? What would REALLY be awesome, is that I can track my progress from 0-infinity, and help new users with newer computers with old machines like mines.... 2) Having an older cutter/plotter like mines (I think it's about 2005/2006), which version of CorelDraw should I use? I see that USCutter has "Sure-Cuts-A-Lot" with their cutter/plotters that my friend uses on his Cricut that works so d@mn well.... 3) Wild Goose, I made that "Chinese Comment" because the manual is written by some Chinese guy that doesn't know how to write a manual very well. Pics and all the cd's we put in were in Chinese. Not to mention my last name is Wong, but I don't know any Chinese, except "2hunglow" As far as the Aloha and E Komo Mai, pretty good there buddy Your nephew, friends and family are military or civilian? Vasi family living on "my side". Just FYI, I live in Kaneohe, by Windward Mall on Oahu. Thanks everyone, Aloha
