    Coolest gift??

    awe fuddy-duddies.... no takers? c'mon.
  2. pressure really depends on the individual and/or the vinyl. Ken (Imes) usually recommends 120. I have found great success using a 60-degree blade with an average pressure of about 70-80. make sure that there's no gunk or adhesive stuck to the blade or the blade holder (that might cause the blade not to spin within the holder so that the leading edge of the blade is always spinning in the right direction during the cut). If you're still getting perforated cuts, slow down the speed, set the pressure to Ken's recommended 120, and just dial (in or out) the correct depth of the blade. Give that a go and let us know how it works out for you. Good luck.

Turkey deep fry or the oven?

I prefer deep-fry, but since I never am appointed by the family to prep the bird, I eat whatever is put on the table My contribution to the table will be some killer baby back ribs.

    undo user profile in xp?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I too, removed both the old and new hard drives from their respective laptops to run the recovery on my good machine. I will definitely check out that link and see if there anything fruitful. Thanks for the heads-up. Wish me luck

    undo user profile in xp?

Does anyone out there know of a way to undo the deletion of a user profile (user files also deleted)? A relative has asked me to try and recover his data - or more importantly, his contacts in Outlook Express. I've tried system restoration, but that useless tool doesn't work. I've tried running a program called "Restoration," and while I was able to recover many photo files, the OE info eludes me. It did get me some .dbx files, but none of them are usable. Prior to him deleting his profile, he said that he created a csv of the contacts, but I found no trace of it. He panicking and it's making me anxious (sigh). Any advice would be most welcomed!

    undo user profile in xp?

Basically he bought a new laptop and moved all the personal data (documents, email, etc.). And before you know it, the new computer freezes. He contacted Gateway and they basically walked him through a reformat of the new laptop ... not telling him that he needed to back up his data. In the meantime, while the new laptop wasn't freezing, he then deleted his profile from his old laptop because he was going to let another family member use it. He was using OE6. The data was on the old (XP) - no reformatted, just profile and data deleted. The data was also on the new (prior to Gateway having him reformat) with Vista Home. I've scoured the both hard drives with Nucleus Kernel NTFS and Restoration. I could only recover a good number of the photos, a few .pdf's, but none of the .dbx OE6 files and I did find the .csv file, but the data on it was corrupt and the file opened up and was basically gibberish. (sigh) Any advice ... please!!

    undo user profile in xp?

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately OE sets up its email differently than regular Outlook. But I have tried looking into the hidden directories in the corresponding profile ... identities ... etc. (sigh) I fear that the data has been lost.

    wear line cut

make sure that the blade is clean. pop it out of the blade holder and make sure that the blade holder doesn't have adhesive or other particles stuck to it. if it's lifting some of the more intricate details, slow down the speed a bit. if you're still having issues, I'm sure that Ken would recommend to increase the pressure.

The Big 3 Bailout and You..

Keep it going guys ... this is how I keep up with some of the current news ... except this has a "real person's" point of view.
  13. There shouldn't be any issues loading up SBE and then disconnecting and relocating the cutter. You will have the ability to tell your computer which port you want to send the cutting file to (in the cut setup screen). I use my laptop and am constantly plugging and unplugging the cutter from it. Just be patient with it ... and any issues you might run into, come back here and post them, we'll do our best to get you an answer asap. BTW - welcome to the forum, and congrats on your cutter!

    looking for software

Hey people, hoping you guys can help me out. I'm looking for some kind of desktop recording application that would let me record the video and audio that is being streamed to my computer. An example would be if some posted a video (with audio) on their website, and I would like to record it as I watch it too. I don't want to pick-up the audio from a microphone or anything like that, just the video. I guess it would be similar to turning my computer into a DVR? (I'm not sure if that's it or not). Any insight would be great. Thanks!!!
