flash_design 0 Posted June 18, 2007 Well here is my first vinyl application ever. I used diamondplate vinyl on black for the "marios". I didn't have application tape so I used 1" masking tape which proved to be a major pain, it was too tacky. I'm waiting on my app tape from eBay. I know its not aligned perfectly but I figured I'd share it anyway. I'm still trying to understand what wet application is... I did this dry and there were no bubbles but the door was pitted and had a bad paint job so it does appear to have bubbles but it's just dirt under the paint. Guest fivestar Posted June 18, 2007 Nice Jason, yeah it's a little crooked but using masking tape no wonder.... Wet application is simply taking a spray bottle and spraying the substrate (door) and the back of the vinyl and transfer tape after you remove the backing then applying it to the door and aligning it and squeegee out all the water.
