PBear 5 Posted August 24, 2008 More than 85 with the graphics and colors Did you come up with the design or is it theirs? Did you take their idea and make the design? Are they going to use this on other things? If you came up with the design and they are going to use it charge a design fee and tell them it a custom job and it's their design to use and you wont use it again and SELL them the design figure out X amount of dollars for you time to design it Then charge for time and materials to make the sign

Yes, Traci was VERY VERY pleased when she saw this. I sold the magnetics and the design for $200. This will be used for her business cards, legal documents, brochures and materials. That is an all original design besides the clipart puppy.
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted August 25, 2008 is that supposed to be 'pet setting service' or should it be 'pet sitting service'?
SynFX 1 Posted August 25, 2008 she says its 'setting'
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted August 25, 2008 well, that's totally wrong use of the word but the customer is always right...until people start pointing it out to her. I've had a few like that. And they blamed me. http://www.petsit.com/
RegisG 0 Posted August 25, 2008 is that supposed to be 'pet setting service' or should it be 'pet sitting service'? I think it's "setting" if you are puting curlers and a permanent in the pet's hair. It's "sitting" if you are just watching and taking care of the pet. OR it's anything the customer wants it to say
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted August 25, 2008 could be...I always like to make sure because they will always put the blame on you when people ask. I've had more than one customer come back to me and say 'why didn't you tell me that was wrong?'....when I HAD told them. People actually put curlers in the hair of dogs? oh...the 'insured' made me think it was a sitting service.
Cartierusm 0 Posted August 25, 2008 Looks good. I'm very new to this sort of thing, but I've been doing Graphic Design forever. I know this could be done different ways, vinyl cut out and applied to a magentic sign blank or ink jetted onto a magnetic blank. How was this done so I get an idead of how things are done professionally? Thanks.
PBear 5 Posted August 26, 2008 "Pet Setting Insurance" I'm House Sitting now and tomorrow I'll be house setting, and no the house don't need no curlers.. cause I'm not setting the house. and that's all I have to say about that
SynFX 1 Posted August 26, 2008 Right... I believe I will correct it for her.. shes pretty ditzy.. I' sure she won't even notice! haha.. How to do this: - Design in a graphic program - Cut out each individual graphic according to color - Weed and mask graphics - Measure and apply each color according to order You then would have a finished product for your customer. I would look into the informational section of this forum for detailed instructions or for further questions.
