MZ SKEETER 4,718 Posted February 15 You don't vector text, find the fonts and recreate it. Ask your buyer if they have the logo.
slice&dice 2,466 Posted February 15 Generally, it's not a good idea to vectorize texts. This logo uses a specific font for "Heritage" -- if you can find out what it is, then just use the proper text. The three slanted rectangles are easy enough to create. "Collision Center" is standard sans-serif with a wide-spaced kern.

MZ SKEETER 4,718 Posted February 15 If you don't have permission from the owner of the company, that owns that logo, then that is trademark infringement. Trademark infringement is when someone uses a registered trademark without permission. If you see something that is already created, it is already owned by someone else. slice&dice 2,466 Posted February 16 Putting a decal onto a window of one car is not "trademark infringement" in the legal sense of that. I am not a lawyer, nor do I play a lawyer on TV. Trademark infringement is the unauthorized use of a trademark or service mark on or in connection with goods and/or services in a manner that is likely to cause confusion, deception, or mistake about the source of the goods and/or services. I took a quick look into finding that font, it appears to be https://www.whatfontis.com/FF_Concielian-3D-Italic.font

slice&dice 2,466 Posted February 16 What do you mean by "couldn't find it"? The link was provided above to the exact font you needed. I'll repost that for your convenience -- https://www.whatfontis.com/FF_Concielian-3D-Italic.font I'll assume you are capable of drawing those 3 parallelograms. Do you know how to Kern text (wider spacing between letters)? As a newbie, be aware that this re-creation is as basic as it gets. I'm done here. It's all on you now, Ed. slice&dice 2,466 Posted February 16 Edward21 is not diluting the brand nor infringing upon this Collision Center's name. Also, for all we know, it's likely he can easily obtain permission from the company holding the rights to the logo. "Sure, thanks for promoting our shop, hey, can you make a bunch of those for us!!!"
