Not cut right small things

Recommended Posts

Hi! I have a Vevor KI 720A since 2 years. I use it about 3 times a year, but intensely. She was doing really well. But now she's starting to not cut right. I use the same vinyl that I order from Stahls and the same strength and still low speed. Do you have any idea what's going on? I use SignCutPro 2 as my software, because I have an iMac. Sorry for my bad English. I speak French. Here are photos of what it does. Thanks for you help.

Bonjour.

Have you taken apart the blade holder and verified that there's nothing stuck inside there? Just a few bits of stray vinyl caught in the blade can prevent the free-spinning of the blade.

Also, check to make sure the swing arm (clamp) that retains the blade holder isn't cracked

Check your blade, see if there's still a good point on it, or if you've been using the blade for a while, try swapping it out.
Check blade depth.
Even though you're curring slow, you can try to slow it down even more.
Check the blade holder carriage, because there's times that the holder can crack, or the thread get stripped, etc.
Check your cutting strip.  if there are cuts in it, then it might be time to replace it (or turn it around).
Check your blade offset.

If you do a good amount of detailed cuts, you might want to consider getting a 60-degree blade.  I usually run 60-degree blades in both my machines all the time.
