edge 67 Posted April 17, 2007 I'd like to drive the CP2500 when it arrives from a laptop which will require using the USB adaption. I have the impression from posts on this site that many have been unsuccessful in using USB. Is this an issue or have software improvements been made to correct this? Then again maybe I've misread and it never was an issue. Thank-You
kenimes 42 Posted April 17, 2007 If you have trouble with the USB to Serial cable that comes with the cutter, many users have found that the Keyspan USB to Serial adaptor works great. Like $30 or so at your local computer shop.
TaterNuts 3 Posted April 17, 2007 I thought that the people that were using the KeySpan were on Macs??? Maybe I miss read something, lol
kenimes 42 Posted April 18, 2007 Oops, for some reason I assumed he had a Mac. There should not be a problem using the USB to Serial with a Windows computer. If so, there is an updated driver available for download from our downloads section of uscutter.com Ken corrected.....lol

edge 67 Posted April 25, 2007 For anyone reading this and considering this configuration during prepurchase. This turned out to be a non issue in my set-up. I also added a USB extension cable without any difficulty.
