Did you check:

1. Baud Rate

2. USB Cable

3. Confirm you still have the same conection in your software and your device manager

Yes, I am using the usb cable, but have had no problems up to this point.

As for the baud rate etc...where do I change that. It's been a while since

I set it up and don't remember any of that stuff.

I finally got it to work, but it still freezes after cutting.

I am also trying to cut some thermoflex and it puddles up a lot

when the blade is trying to cut. Anyone have any work arounds for this.

I just tried to cut on a friends summa cutter and had absolutely no problems.

Hope I can figure this out.

thanks for the help

If at all possible, use the Serial cable to connect the MH721 to your computer.

From what I understand, he is using it and it is working, but it freezes. One of the easiest solutions for this issue is a more stable connection method.

Like Ken said, Serial connection would probably solve the problem. But,try lowering the baud rate on the cutter and software to 4800.

Everything looks correct, but like John mentioned, maybe a lower Baud rate. Also make sure nothing else is running ont he computer when cutting. Disable screen savers, etc.
