JoeCamaro 11 Posted June 30, 2008 So cool! I didnt know you were in FL. There is something about Puerto Ricans. When we are home we are just cool, but when we are in the states, we feel more puerto Rican than ever and thats when we want to buy stuff with the flag on and with Puerto Rican themes and stuff, we want to show were we are from. Those things never happen in the Island though. JC

Those things never happen in the Island though. JC It's almost backwards here. There is no such thing as being too "Hawaiian" here. The true Hawaiians (by ancestry) love to deck out everything they can - decals, flags, tattoos, etc. The "transplants" as we locals call other locals who have moved out of state, tend to play down their degree of "Hawaiian". Maybe it's because tv and movies don't portray the majority of the locals here - just the really, really dumb ones. Than there are locals like me, not a drop of Hawaiian blood, but Hawaiian by heart and if possible, Hawaiian by lifestyle

roadreaper 0 Posted July 3, 2008 Hey Joe I am new to the forum but I have set up a 6x10 trailer and I havent done flea markets but I have done Car shows , Bike shows / Bike nights and race tracks , At the car shows most the people want letters, words and tribal decals , same thing on the bikes but at the race track I do a lot of names and numbers . I opened a new business so if you are interested in something like I have let me know I am selling the entire set up and I dont know how well it will do in a flea market because I do not know what type of customers are there but all I do is Vinyl decals and it has done good for me being mobile , I put my motorcycle in the back of the trailer drive down to florida and get to vacation , work and still come back with money in my pocket I think the mobile end of it is great. RoadReapers@msn.com if you have any interest and by all means Good luck with your idea !
roadreaper 0 Posted July 3, 2008 I am sorry I did not read from the last post I read the first page as the last and see that you did go for it thats GREAT!!! I did not have a booth I stayed in my trailer I am 6'2 and stand up and move around fine in there plus I have a airconditioner so I just plug my trailer in put the ac on go eat breakfast come back and its comfortable all day long , I dont have a printer able to do t-shirts but I do have a surround sound dvd player with a small TV that I play stunt dvd's while customers wait or choose what they like and I would sell the dvd's that were playing because the customer just watched half the video . Just some ideas for you hope it helps , I never break a sweat until the installation so I started to bring a huge umbrella to keep the sun off of me I tried to insert two pics so you have a idea maybe it will help you with what you are doing. Very cool and keep it up !
nonabelle 5 Posted July 3, 2008 now that's a nice setup for a trailer. i mean sweet! i wish i had the$$$$ i would surely invest in something like that. the possibilities r endless! did u set that up like that? umm that really nice. i never would have imagine. roadreaper 0 Posted July 3, 2008 Actually I used to race motorcycles and went to the track one day and seen this guy doing decals for bikes , I got my bike done and loved it loved it loved it! It was way cheaper then getting my bike painted with everything I wanted. Over the next few weeks I talked with the guy and he was nice enough to tell me all about the business and I used his trailer as a base for mine , his trailer was much more simple and did not have airconditioning , or anything that I put in to make myself comfortable like the TV , The AC, I built the first workstation where I have the regular printer , my laptop and the tv and I used a folding table for cutting and transfering so I could fold it up and still fit two bikes in the trailer I would bring my race bike and my street bike , In between the insulation , the wood for the walls , the floor I put down (linoleum), The lighting (flourecent) The outlets and electric and all of the equipment I spent just a little over 12k including the trailer laptop and software and plotter , Its nothing fancy but sure does get the job done, by the looks of things I have no where close to the skill some of you have on here and I have still been able to make money , I wish I had someone to work the trailer and I wouldnt get rid of it but I just opened a Bike lounge so I have no more time to do this but if it wasnt for this business I wouldnt be opening my second one! Thanks for the compliment it really has been fun doing this because I get to stay around the thing I love BIKES and CARS and the DVD selling Idea came from when I would work I would have the videos on with the surround sound blasting and it would attract people to the trailer , then some guy asked what video I was watching and offered me $20 for my copy After that I went on ebay and got myself a "lot" of 100 stunt videos for $125 shipped to my door sold those for $15 each or 2 for $20 and they went faster then I thought. Benr98 40 Posted July 3, 2008 Very nice setup indeed. How do you keep your cutter from falling when traveling?? Do you strap it in somehow?? I would be interested IF I wasn't saving every dime I have to move. Nice idea though, thanks for sharing some pics of your setup. Jenny
firemalt 10 Posted July 3, 2008 Nice little setup. I used to roadrace with CMRA(Texas based series, used to be part of CCS & WERA years ago, but they wanted to be individuals). I was also an instructor for LSTD(www.lonestartrackdays.com) for several years. Got into a fairly series accident in 2006, and hung the leathers up for good... now I ride trails and race in hare scrambles(dirtbikes).
pungohboy 0 Posted July 3, 2008 Roadreaper you have a nice setup. I am an avid ATV rider and have a 7x16 enclosed I use for hauling my ATV around. Your trailer has given me some ideas I have though about going mobile but thought it was too small to go mobile but looking at yours it looks like you had plenty of room. I have brought the idea up with my wife now lets see if it happens. Good luck selling you rig its a nice price.
roadreaper 0 Posted July 3, 2008 It is nailed down to the floor and doesnt move , actually the only thing that does move every once in a while is some of the supplies I have like the applicator fluid and a few boxes I have under the table , everything else I have set up with intentions of it getting shaken around so I made sure it wont move unless you want to take it out. I never had any problems with things moving , oh sorry the one thing I do bungee to the wall is the drop light I have that swings just so I dont break the bulb. Im asking cheap for it on $5000 I made my money back allready so I think that is a fair price for everything. I posted the pics just so maybe one you out there could use it as a base for your project like I did when I first seen it and hopefully you can improve on the idea. I raced mostly at the Poconos race track and actually went into road racing after ATV and DIrtbike riding for so many years I beat myself up way too bad and my body couldnt take the constant abuse ( Ok I fall a lot lol) my knees were shot from jumps and living here in Brooklyn NY I have to drive at the least 2 hours to go dirt riding , but that is where my heart is! I stopped racing about 4 years ago once my wife and I had a daughter I still do track days here and there but nothing competitve and I still ride the streets here in NY so thats about as dangerous as racing but like I said I live to ride. Im building a chopper now and just need a few bucks to finish it up thats why I am selling all my money is tied up in the new business and my toys have to come out of my own pocket not the family account if you know what I mean. What a bunch of realy nice and helpful people on here I wish I found the site years ago!

My trailer is 6x10 and I am 6'2 240 I could stand up fully without hunching over it give me just enough height , and as far as moving around it there isnt much I have to move around for really just from the laptop to the plotter and then the second table to finish up and place the transfer tape on the vinyl . I put a seat in there for the customer and they sit while I work. If you have a 7x16 trailer you would have a actual shop bigger then some shops here in brooklyn ny and plenty of room to move around in it . Im sure you fit a nice amount of quads in there I could only imagine because I had a open 6x12 that we fit 3 quads on a 400ex ,and 2 banshees Yea I like the 4 stroke dont kill me lol
pungohboy 0 Posted July 3, 2008 If stacked right I could probly fit 5. I have a bench in the front so that kills 2 foot. I bought the trailer when my wife and I both had sport atvs then we both got utility atvs, now we are back to sports but just a raptor 700 she dont have one we just had a baby so I have a raptor 80 for him. If I can figgure a way to still hold both atvs and make a setup that would be excelent. Heck if i used 10ft and then had the other 6ft(inside area) I could probly get away with it. Lots going through my mind right now. I already have a generator I might need a bigger one If i went full force with it though. Im 4stroke all the way. my father in law has a banshee that is pretty mean for being stock bore. He also has a old 250r based hybrid running a ftz1000 street bike motor. He is all about speed. I am a trail rider. I tried racing, I found out in the first turn that it wasnt for me.
roadreaper 0 Posted July 3, 2008 You could definitley swing that! If you look at the pictures you could see in the front of the trailer is where the "wood desk" are built in , The first table you see in the picture folds up and the plotter actually stays where it is if you can see on the floor there are two boxes marked that is for each wheel of the first bike and the second bike goes where the folding table is , Once I get to where I am going both bikes come out I work a little and play a little , My duaghter rides a 110cc mini atv no gears shes only 4 and I have it limited , and I still have my first bike the 87 YZ125 that I use to go on weekend trail rides with her. I hope you do well and if you have any questions at all about setting it up feel free to email me anytime! Just a bunch of wood some screws nails white paint electrical wiring nothing you cant finish up in a few days and I cut the hole for the ac pretty much perfect size with the wood inside also it doesnt even move . Best of luck with the build Im glad seeing mine helped and got your brain in overdrive

richardson 5 Posted July 15, 2008 I do alot of flea markets, did great last year this year has been slower. I have to have my cutter out for everyone to see and they all seem to get a kick out of watching it and the sound lets them know I am doing custom work on the spot. I have to have the speed turned up pretty high just to be able to keep up at times, other times I am sitting with no one around I work on making small decals to fill my boxes just to keep the cutter running and it will atract pepole. I would suggest you keep the cutter in the open, you can still let pepole know that you are backed up but for a little extra you can push thier order up and have it done in 15 min.
