If you're trying to cut HTV, I would recommend a carrier sheet, as the the clear "front" of the HTV tends to be very slippery.

As for your second question, I would highly recommend checking out youtube. Videos should also show you which side of the HTV to be cutting.

One of the most important things with HTV ... mirror your image and/or graphics!

You load a sheet just like you would a roll. The cutter doesn't care how big of a piece of vinyl you're cutting. So long as the vinyl is big enough that the pinch rollers can grab it that's all you need.

HTV can be slippery, but so far, I have not had any issues cutting small pieces on my MH.
