Need Help ASAP: Helping a newbie set his MH721

Recommended Posts

Ok, I am helping a guy who bought a Refine. He is not very fluent in English so I offered to help him out.

The problem is that his cutter is not citting right. Cuts are not closing.

I suggested a few things but nothing seemed to work.

I was with him on the phone and we checked the following:

Carriage: According to him it is on track

Ground Cable: He attached it

Baud: Tried 4800 but it went back to 9600 automatically and it cuts anyways.

Blade: Propertly installed in the back holder hole.

SignBlazer: He set the offset blade to different values and none seemed to work.

There is conection as the plotter cuts, only that it cuts wrong. I dont know if Im missing something. I tried looking on the forums but it seems that we tried everything.

Dont know what else to do and he will call tonite.

Any help is much appreciated.

Joe

Has he checked to see if his nodes are closed??  Jerry helped us with that before, when we had that problem.

Or is that happening on all his designs he is trying to cut??

Wish I could be more help.

Yes I can see it, it looks to me like his carriage is off track.  Ask him to be sure the wheels are on the track.  Sometimes they look like they are but they really aren't.

I asked like 3 times, lol, I even sent him a pic of the wheels off track. I am going to ask him if he can take a pic of the track.

Joe I just remembered someone having similar problem and it was the blade holder being cracked.  May have him look at that too.

The picture did show up the second time, Joe.  Looks like others have given you some great advice.  I don't have the refine, but wasn't sure if it was an issue with SBE.

LOL....does that mean Five is cuddly like a puppy or loyal as one??  :D

chip blade? nice with flexi you can set it to over cut, cures any problem. Just for the heck of it maybe have him set it to two passes on cut and see if it still does it, may need to lower force for two passes.

That's actually my dog, that pic was taken when he was a pup as you can tell.  He's not quite that small now.
