JPvinyl 60 Posted February 2, 2016 I have made banners with 651 just fine but I got an order for a printed banner. What's a reasonable mark up for sale. They are supplying the artwork ready to print. I just need to place the order for them. Not even installing it. They are hanging it up in their garage. Any help would be nice.
Sue2 920 Posted February 2, 2016 Size? Retail at about $5 a square foot is a good start for a printed banner with finished edge & grommets. Make sure their artwork is usable before quoting. Sue2
JPvinyl 60 Posted February 2, 2016 3'x5'. I do I just slap $50 on it for moving everything along or is that too much.
Sue2 920 Posted February 2, 2016 Depends on how much you value this customer and want their repeat business/referrals. It's a fine line. Be careful how much you "slap" on there. If you're too high, they will go direct to an online source and you get nada. In other words, don't be greedy! Sue2

jaybyrd 3,770 Posted February 3, 2016 3x5 I get $60 all day long locally. $50 if they order a few of them. I almost never do a banner in house anymore because wholesale printing is so cheap and fast.
Sue2 920 Posted February 3, 2016 Just a quick look at the "Cheapo Banner" sites yields a retail $30-50 price range PLUS shipping. Your service is checking that the files are proper for printing...we also check spelling, graphics size & correct color mode and make suggestions if we see type too small, etc. AND we often have to convert a WORD, PowerPoint, Excel or Publisher file. I too, seldom print banners in-house anymore (or even make cut vinyl banners)... like Jay says, the wholesale is so reasonable. BUT, knowing WHO to send the file to in order to get a nice quality product is an important part of your service too. Sue2
