Acrylic paint.

I'm trying to make a measuring stick/ height chart for my niece I want to prime and paint the piece of wood before applying the vinyl. Is acrylic craft paint a good surface for vinyl to adhere to or should I caught up the cash for a good interior paint? I know o can make a whole test piece and try but I figured I would try you guys first. Thanks for any help

Never have used craft paint, but I use a good latex and usually seal with a polyurethane after installing the vinyl.

As long as it's dry it will stick just fine. The app tape is what you need to worry about if the paint hasn't cured long enough just like any paint it will lift off with the app tape.

We do it all the time. Let it dry and youll be good.
