i downloaded inkscape and found the converting pic's to eps easy to use in SB, but dont it let you vectorise in origonal colours do when you put it in SB

I think there is also one option where you can convert colors that's on the same "trace bitmap" menu.

there is but i didnt know if you had to do anything else as the quality is really bad

when you do the colors option in Inkscape, try adjusting the number of passes(scans). Sometimes this helps.

I've done a few simple images with color in Inkscape, but they were very basic shapes, and colors.
