Graphtec FC2250 -180 knife holder issue

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, so forgive me if I'm in the wrong section.

So, we make motorcycle graphics, and part of the process involves the use a Graphtec FC2250 -180 cutter.  It's been working fine, it's about 6 weeks old... today, we are finding the knife holder in position 2 is not lifting as it goes from piece to piece of the job to be cut. (Not fully anyway) We do not ever change settings on this machine as we make one product only on one material.  The blade is now leaving small scratches all over the job.  Yes, the machine is under warranty, but damn it, the service guy is away for a week!!!! We are stopped in production while he sits on the beach somewhere.

Ideas?

hmmm - we just had someone else ask about the graphtec flad bed and don't think anyone in the US responded that had one - I would call graphtec.   how are things in slovokia?
